Richard Dreyfuss leads a tribute to the 80-year legacy of Universal Studios, which originated as the Independent Moving Pictures Company (IMP) by Carl Laemmle in defiance of Edison's Motion Picture Trust. It quickly expanded under the visionary guidance of 21-year-old Irving Thalberg, featuring groundbreaking silent films from luminaries like John Ford, Erich Von Stroheim, and Lon Chaney. The studio saw further success during the sound film era under Carl Laemmle Jr., producing iconic movies such as "All Quiet on the Western Front," "Showboat," and pioneering the monster movie genre with hits like "Frankenstein" and "Dracula."
