We've been so lucky of late, so many killer bands are still doing it hard. Writing, touring and killing it on stage. Lots of great shows this summer, KK's Priest and Maiden to round it off. I'm definitely concerned for our future in our beloved genres of metal. Come 2030, I wonder what we'll have? Hopefully metal will resist the AI, crap and still do it old school. Yes, anyone can make a new "Bon Jovi" album - Just can't title it that. The most advanced AI models are completely public. Current law does not give Bon Jovi copyright to a voice created by AI that was trained by Bon Jovi's voice. It's the equivalent of a person doing their best impression of Bon Jovi. Problem is, AI is starting to sound better and more convincing than the original artists do. This is uncharted territory.

It would be cool to hear Bon Scott again on some new tunes. I'll listen to the AI if it's good. But as a musician, I can see where they're trying to go with this. There's to many bands out there these days faking "Live" shows as it is. But there's nothing anyone will ever be able to do that will out do the classic of the 50's 60's 70's 80's and 90's.

We'll be competing with AI, who knows we may be doing so already. One of my friends wrote some parody songs about me using AI, it's gotten INSANE. But it can be a selling point now too to say you aren't AI music. Scary times but we can't do anything about it sadly.

If I listen to my 14 year old son, a lot of kids are actually embracing real music because they think pop music these days is crap, and AI generated music sucks even more. And If nobody buys it or listens to this crap, maybe it is not interesting anymore for the music labels! For myself: I generally don’t care for music after 2000 anyway, unless it was made by artists that were around in the 70s, 80s and 90s. So as far as I’m concerned they can do whatever they please. I am not listening ofrbuying it anyway.
