Universal Tractor Seat Replacement

Replacing the "new" seat on our New Holland 3930. This was the worst seat I've ever had the displeasure of owning:
a.co/5TsC4KV
It's made by the same company as the one I replaced it with, but they are not the exact same seats.

I had just ordered this seat before watching this video, and after seeing what he had to say I went and cancelled my order until i was able to learn more about the spring issue. It turns out that after I contacted the seller of these seats, they responded that when they learned of the stiff spring issue, they immediately corrected it by changing the spring, so apparently, it is no longer an issue. I will reorder my seat.

well it looks good it doesnt compress near as much as the old one but the main thing is that it doesn't hurt your back while driving the tractor.

The old one seemed to sit higher but I didn't have as much problem with it as my mother. It didn't compress any with her.

I have liftpump problem,so ihave to remove that under seat part, I don't know excetly the name of that part

I bought one just like the black one at TSC, I hate it I think it's about 8 inches taller than the old one, I have to slide to the edge to use the clutch and brakes and I'm 6'3", I'm gonna try to put the cushions on my old frame, hate to waste $100 but can't deal with this thing, also isn't very comfortable but it's better than rusted out metal I guess

I know its been a long while since you did this video. I see the link to the one not to buy. Where did you get blue one. Think i heard tractor supply. Do you remember what exact model # was to the new one. Thanks

Dang, brother! You shoulda made this video a day earlier (viewing it in 2021) so I could've found it before I bought this seat yesterday. I'm gonna roll with it. Putting it on my F3000, where THAT seat is completely rusted. Good tractor, but the seats are terrible if you leave the tractor out in the rain, sun, hurricanes and ice storms. My Massey Ferguson seat is sturdy, but I'll try and do better to that one too... I have to say the metal is thicker/sturdier on the MF135.

We need a couple new seats for our equipment. Good seats aren't cheap.

The black one was cheaper than the blue. I wish I could afford one with arm rests ;)

@@farmboy30117 thanks man for the video. I have a blue seat from tractor supply also and it's still in the box. Tomorrow I will attempt to do the same thing you did but on a 2810 ford. I hope my attempt turns out as well as your did

So far it's working out ok, but I had to weld new mounts to make it fit. I'd buy it again, it works for me and its yellow. lol

To be honest the blue one not only works better but heck it looks better :) Great job brother looking good. How did the hood turn out?

I got one for jd I hate the damn thing ever time I get on the tractor I cuss it going to try to fix up my seat that came on it.

I bought one for my 5000 Ford because the seat was torn. The new suspension was terrible so I put the new seat bottom and top on my original ford suspension.

That's what I should've done too. The suspension is still too stiff for my mother, although it seems fine to me.

My tractor seat has 4 tiny coil springs . I would like to get an adjustable seat like that too. 230 pounds did I hear that right. You must be 6 foot 8 inches - no way are you 230 pounds. I'm 185 .

Inexpensive seat like that break and fall off the tractor and the driver goes with it. If there is a cutter in tow then the driver turns to hamburger. Probably need to buy one from A&I. Buy the premium one. Good luck
