Singer-songwriter Noel Cabangon's hit "Byahe" album spawned numerous awards, including the elusive Double Platinum Record Award and a sweep during the 2010 Awit Awards. The album also topped the music charts for 20 weeks.
Now, after two years, the highly-anticipated follow-up album "Tuloy Ang Byahe" is all set to be released this June.
The new collection of OPM's finest tunes includes songs from icons Basil Valdez, APO Hiking Society, Freddie Aguilar, Hotdog, Rey Valera, VST & Company, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Leah Navarro, Dulce, Florante, Smokey Mountain, among others.
The album also includes some interesting tracks, personally handpicked by Noel himself.
Before being the multi-platinum recording artist that he is right now, Noel started of as part of the group Buklod (Bukluran Ng Mapagpalayang Musiko) more than two decades ago. His music speak of the many artistic, social and political advocacies he carries as a member of PETA, Dakila, Akbayan, Amnesty International and Greenpeace.
Noel doesn't just sing purely for entertainment. He believes that his talent is a tool to generate awareness on just about any issue, may it be political, environmental or social. Respected by his peers and revered by the new generation of rock musicians, Noel is recognized as one of the most influential figures in the Pinoy music scene, in fact one of his past hits with Buklod,Tatsulok was covered by Bamboo.

Reminds me of the girl who wanted to share my umbrella because it was raining and she didn’t know I had a crush on her. It was one of the moment for me that rain really have it’s purpose and I wished it wont stop. But of course she took more of the space and I ended up getting wet but it was the most memorable moment although I couldn’t recall if we even had any conversation or we were just laughing because we were so afraid of getting wet.

Great Singer Sir Noel Cabangon. We (my daughter, 12 yrs old) We bought your album years ago & hv been listening to your songs for years esp the "Ako'y Mabuting Pilipino - we play that song esp before going to school (years before pandemic) up to now. She actually made a video when she graduated with honors with that background song "Ako'y Mabuting Pilipino & that was her morivator to make more motivational videos on her youtube channel Karylle Tapnio. Great song for a great story. Gloomy/rainy backgrounds and bright/sunny ones are alternating on the video. Same as the story. Started out wrong, but ended right. :) When the man remembered a lonely ring and the woman bid her goodbye to her ex-lover, they started anew and welcomed the sun to brighten up their gloomy past. It could also be that the man is the woman's comfort and doesn't care how hard her past was. :)

Naalala ko pa to, tumutugtog sa radyo, umuulan pa noon, Kasama ko pa sya, (my ex) nakahiga kami sa malawak na kalsada, nakatingin sa langit, nagbbilang ng patak ng ulan. Kinakanta namin to ng sabay, at sabing pangakong habang buhay kami lang. Pero tuwing umuulan naalala na lang kita, Akala ko talaga tayo na hanggang dulo. Nagpaalam ka din pala, dahil hindi rin nagtagal yun saya mo sakin at nagsawa ka. Sana umulan na lang habang buhay, laging bagyo ang puso ko.
