Hello everyone in the comments, I'm coming back to this over a year after it was filmed and it's quite weird having this as a record of that time. I had a minor breakdown between episodes and my confidence wasn't great going into the second round, and I did on some level want to get knocked out to have it over with (thank you Dani). I think I would have had a better shot at it if I'd gone on even this year (second year undergrad) rather than first year undergrad in terms of confidence personally and in terms of training up the team (which I know e.g. Leo did) as well as knowledge. It's also weird seeing that when I was considerably thinner (I could wear that jumper because I was underweight and therefore always cold) and had a considerable bald patch where I had pulled out my own hair due to stress hence the hat. Anyway the experience was good I met some great people from the other teams through it and I recommend doing it!

Wow, many thanks for such a fast upload. I actually enjoyed this game quite a bit, due in no small part to the dapper gentleman Mr. Williford, with his gorgeous face, stunning blue eyes, impressive mustache, handsome attire, gentlemanly southern accent and thoughtfully intelligent answers. The Oxford team is looking good, though Braddock from Geneva really has to pick up his game compared to the rest of his team. Hodgson and Cooper look really strong. For students of, respectively, statistics and biological sciences, they seem very knowledgeable on humanities related topics.

Rosalind Franklin was a pioneering X-ray crystallographer whose techniques produced the first images of DNA. This allowed Francis Watson and James Crick to work out the double-helix structure of DNA, for which they won the Nobel Prize in 1962. Sadly, Watson had already died, so could not be nominated for the award. Neither Watson, Crick nor Franklin "discovered" DNA as such, as it had been known about for some years previously. Their work did, however, permit its structure to be determined for the first time.

Watson and Crick worked out the structure of DNA, but they weren't the ones who discovered it. It had been known about since the 19th century, but it wasn't called "DNA" until the 20th.
