University Challenge S44E36 Gonville & Caius - Cambridge vs Durham

9 жыл бұрынThe penultimate round of the season, we have Gonville & Caius College - Cambridge playing against the only non-Oxbridge representative who can make it this far (and sadly, they're not Manchester), University of Durham. If you've been watching the season, you can guess who made it through. Anyway, sorry for the delay, but internet just got normal again yesterday. Promise won't keep the suspense for too long for the final. Original air date 6.4.2015

Martinelli seems such as intense, serious young man. :) Shocking that Durham didn't know their geological ages. Indus Valley/India are two different civilisations, he shouldn't have given that.

Gonville & Caius's performance wasn't as stellar as in previous rounds. Luckily for them they were facing the weakest of the three other semi-final teams. The two teams I wanted to make the final, have done so. Happy for both of them.

I got the feeling Morgan-Thomas was getting annoyed with Harvey towards the end, he didn't listen to him enough and lightly mocked his (correct) answers, and didn't guess enough for questions that they didn't know the answer to, which a good team captain does.

JEREMY!!! The middle letter in the word "SIXTH" is NOT silent. It's "Sixth" not "sikth".

I think it's pretty common in England to pronounce it like that.

Selinor578 So Paxman should pronounce Norwich like "NOR-WICH" just because it's spelled like that?

Peadar No, he shouldn't. We know what the correct way to pronounce Norwich is. Fith is not the correct way to pronounce f-i-f-t-h. Ditto for sixth.
