University of Florence: Rossini Flash Mob

Wednesday 11.30 am, October 26th, 2016: a library full of silent students focused on their books. The silence is interrupted by a cello and a double bass.
Then flutes, piccolo and clarinet … A bassoon, oboes, horns, strings, a conductor, Maestro Gabriele Centorbi. The music starts …. What follows is the wonderful music by the genius of Rossini and his Ouverture from Il Signor Bruschino played by the Orchestra of the University of Florence!
Last but not least, the clapping, whistles, shouts of joy … And then students again intent to the books but with a better state of mind!

You can see why Rossini was so beloved in his own time. His music was just so charming--flowing delightfully along, interspersed with whimsical little touches like the chimes in this piece, leaving everyone smiling. The perfect emotional study break.

bellissimo, chi apprezza la cultura necessariamente apprezza anche la musica, e chi stava studiando ed è stato "interrotto" ha ripreso sicuramente con più gioia dopo questa pausa musicale

Anche a Brescia, qualche anno fa, ci furono due flashmob in due piazze diverse. A proposito di piazze, oggi è l'anniversario della strage di Piazza della Loggia, sulla quale restano ancora tanti misteri... Che la musica aleggi sempre sui nostri cuori 💕 🎹🎺🎻🎸. Complimenti ai musicisti di Firenze ✨

quando si dice che....... la Cultura ( da sottolineare la C maiuscola ), va ad incontrare la Cultura. Quello che è sempre troppo poco valorizzato ed incentivato, la Cultura musicale e lo Studio. Complimenti ai bravissimi musicisti ed un grazie eterno a Rossini.

Bad luck for those urgently and desparately studying for an important exam this next day. Unless, the exam was part of a music degree and about Rossini. Then, bad luck might have actually been good luck! On the other hand, if was a maths exam, well you might as well give up now and put in that application , to study music next semester.
