That was awesome and you’re right putting together the right gear or gear that sounds good enough to the listener. With that said I’m on a vintage gear journey just picked up a pair of AR 3 speakers that have been fully restored. The Clash exhibit pics! Thank You

I have a nice original 1980 Sterling US press with the shrink and hype sticker.

Nice find Tim. I was a senior in HS in ‘80 and I purchased the OG US when it came out and still have it. This is my all time number 1 album of all time. I saw the Clash in ‘82 in Asbury Park, NJ kicking off the Combat Rock tour and my friends and I met Joe Strummer on the boardwalk, and chatted with him for a bit and then got our pics taken with him! That photo is framed and a personal treasure.

You are so Iconic Tim! Drink! 😁 Damn, I really thought I had that one, I have all the other 1st US pressings of theirs. Well, I'll need to be on the lookout for that one then. Although, TBH, my real favourite is Sandinista because of the sheer balls they had in making it and the sheer creativity of the sound.

I have not heard your 2013 ‘WG’, that is a US pressing. I would mention that the 2013 EU pressing with same hype sticker is in fact Tim Young runouts (timtom).

Hi Tim. Do you have an original US Sterling to compare to the UK? I have my original and always thought it sounded incredible. Would love to know how the Sterling measures up. Maybe I can give you a homework assignment 🙂

I don't…. Check out various threads on Hoffman - it seems like the Timtom beats the Sterling according to various opinions. 🤷🏻♂️
