I stumbled upon this video last winter when I was fighting a very high fever and was half asleep. The feeling it gave me was one of the most calming and reassuring feelings I've ever had in a while, and helped me ease myself when I thought that the flu I was fighting was becoming too much to handle. I wanted to paint something like it so bad. It would cross my mind once in a while over the corse of a year, but couldn't find a way to find it again. Today my allergies are getting so bad its hard to get out of bed and I happened to come across it again.

I can't help but like Necessary evil more. I get that the reason this song is also the name of the album is because basically every song in the album is about the idea behind this one song, as well probably being the most emotionally fueled. But Necessary Evil presents a story; it's a fascinating character dynamic written out in song, it's genius. It's a tough pick, both are just so powerful.

Played this song on drums for group performances in my music class. Was one of our favourites. I liked it because it was funky and fun, but also I get plenty of rest during the verses, whoch was nice since our setlist was 45 minutes and I didn’t like many of the songs. This one slaps though.
