Im sorry I am paying catchup again. This fatigue is driving me crazy. But being able to watch it when i missed makes me so happy. I love your brush. I just got a gift card I can't to order from your links. And the videos are great. I can miss a tutorial and still understand the process. I just saw another tutorial, so i will be busy all week and weekend. Our cabin has no television so painting is my favorite pleasure during the weekends. Hola Sergio, si me conoces un poco sabrás que este tipo de trabajos me encantan. Ese amarillo cadmiuun oscuro tan venerado por ti y que a mí me entusiasma, en el que las sombras son luz y luego con el turquesa y blanco la luz es matiz tonal, magnífico, me emociona mucho. La textura de la que eres maestro esta perfecta. Me recuerda a alguna obra tuya de esas de hace mucho tiempo, de esas que aparecían en la parte superior de algo y que tanto me gustaban. Gracias por todo y por tanto, en mí siempre encontraras un humilde admirador.

Este trabalho, mesmo sem assinatura, é reconhecível, sem qualquer dúvida, como um clássico de Sérgio Aranda. Cores fantásticas e trabalho de textura que muito valorizou o resultado final. Um dos meus favoritos. Vi um vídeo do arquivo do Sérgio em que uma jovem de nome Bénédiete Breton diz que o Sérgio é um Soulages das cores. Tenho alguma dificuldade em compará-lo a Pierre Soulages, que só trabalhava com preto, uma não cor, e que obtinha texturas através de baixos relevos da própria tinta, que expostos de determinados ângulos, obtinha reflexos de luz que davam matizes diferentes de preto. As texturas do Sérgio são mais trabalhadas e conseguidas com sobreposição de tintas, velaturas e baixos relevos de massa acrílica. Confesso que não consigo encontrar uma ponte entre ambos, que na minha opinião seguiram trajetórias muito diferentes. Em abono da verdade identifico-me muito mais com o trabalho do Sérgio, embora seja um grande admirador de Soulages,

Suas palavras sobre as cores e a textura são muito apreciadas, e estou muito feliz por saber que este trabalho é um dos seus favoritos. É interessante a comparação com Pierre Soulages. Concordo que as nossas abordagens artísticas são diferentes, e as técnicas que usamos para criar textura e matizes são distintas. Soulages é, sem dúvida, um mestre do uso do preto e das texturas criadas por relevos de tinta. Aprecio muito a obra dele e a influência que teve na arte contemporânea. No entanto, como você mencionou, minha abordagem envolve uma variedade de cores e técnicas de sobreposição de tintas, velaturas e relevos de massa acrílica para criar texturas mais elaboradas. É verdade que cada artista segue seu próprio caminho criativo, e é maravilhoso saber que você se identifica mais com o meu trabalho. Ooooh my. This was like watching the decaying process occur over a speed up of time! Beautifully done Sergio! Those are definitely my favourite colours though I’m not sure why. Definitely an earth/water person. Now that brush you used for the white alcohol ink definitely should be hanging in the painting!! Real decay lolol! Quick question Sergio if you don’t mind. If you don’t want to answer I understand. Chef’s secrets as it were😉Do you like to mix vinegar /water into your rust powder in creating your rusting mix so you don’t have to spritz several times with vinegar/water over 24 hours ? I know it seems rust powder is mixed with a medium matte of sorts first but I see that you like watery medium instead of slightly thickened ? Have an awesome week!

Hello my dear ❤, I truly appreciate your kind words and interest in my artistic process. When it comes to creating that captivating rust effect, I like to use a variety of methods and materials. I often mix my pigments with vinegar (typically around 14% acidity) to initiate the rusting process.(Somethimes in 24 hours I apply severals time) However, I must mention that the approach can vary based on the specific rust mixture or product I'm working with. For instance, if I'm using rust powder from a supplier like powertex.fr, I usually combine it with vinegar, sometimes adding a touch of water to achieve the desired consistency. On the other hand, when working with rust mixtures from brands such as "Produit Dugay" or "Nordin," I primarily rely on the activator that comes with the mixture itself. The choice between vinegar and activator often depends on the brand of rust materials I'm using, as each may have its unique recommendations and requirements for achieving the best results. Feel free to ask if you have any more questions or if there's anything specific you'd like to know about my rusting techniques. Bonjour et merci pour votre commentaire. J'utilise de la pâte à modeler dans certains cas, tandis que dans d'autres, j'opte pour de l'enduit à joint. J'aime expérimenter avec différents matériaux et produits pour montrer que cela peut fonctionner, pourvu que le produit contienne des polymères. Cela serait par exemple impossible avec du plâtre de Paris.

Hola Sergio, te ruego que no me califiques de impertinente por preguntar las razones por las que te vienes a España a vivir y a trabajar, de lo que por otra parte me alegro, pero quiero dejar claro algunas cosas. De la misma forma que leo y me inmerso en la vida de grandes artista de la pintura como Malevich, Still, Delaunay, René Magritte, Rothko, Beatriz Zamora, me gustaría saber de tu decisión artística, no personal que no me interesa para nada, porque yo a ti te contextualizo a la misma altura de algunos de los artistas nombrados y de alguno mas. Do you know if this same technique can be done using oil paints on top of the joint compound? I really like the urban decay and textured look of this, but only have oil paints at the moment.
