Ill never like tmnt as ultra violent characters. I do know their origin is basically a parody of ultra violent comics. I get it. But the first movie and animated series became so likeable and culturally influential that take the turtles back to their roots feels wrong. Im not say9ng tmnt muat be a silly book for children. But. There muat be a balance between action and comedy. Like the 2007 movie. A very underrated tmnt movie. And mutant mayhem. An amazingly interesting interpretation of the lore. Times changed. And tmnt muat adapt to these changes to survive.
