Holy Moley that thing is a beast..... I wonder if that 100 degrees will affect the rooms temperature less since it's a smaller form factor than a desktop. Dell/Alienware we're gonna need a Robeytech discount code please and thank you! The all AMD M16 is a tempting laptop too.

Good morning everyone I have trouble getting uhd at 144hz using a mini display port to display port that certified as 8k 60 hz 4k 144hz from Amazon and only can get 120hz using m9 Sony uhd inzome monitor?

What is the difference between AMD RX 7900M and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 1490? Also, CPU between AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX and Intel i9 13980HX? Which is better, faster, and more efficient for gaming? Please tell us about these vital questions.

It is not needed because you cannot even charge from the USBC ports on the m18 anyways. Most thunderbolt docks will still work with displays and peripherals. For moving data from USB4/Thunderbolt drives we are limited to the R/W speed of the drives which is at most about 6-7GBs in today standards and you'll normally get 1/4 to 1/2 the speed when connected outside the computer so the USB3 w/5GBs (found on the m18) can handle data transfers

Making the higher resolution display unavailable with the AMD GPU was a braindead move by Alienware.

They make them with always something gimped. Then the ones with everything (screen, display, processor, graphics, build quality) can be put at premium pricing

Really 1920x1200 resolution? this makes a otherwise good spec laptop unattractive.

@@RobeytechLive According to the Dell website that is only available with the 4090 version of this laptop, for the 7900M the 1920x1200 is the only available option.

I’m on the other side. I WANT 1080p on laptops since the displays are so small. 1440p on my 17.3” is horrible, windows scaling still needs work. Not to mention some games playing via my 55” 4K oled TV is a nightmare, I have to stand in front of the TV to set it up then press “play/battle” and return to my sofa 😅 the ppi is still good with 1080p on 17” and 1200p is just fine too for a 18”. I have my external 24.5” 1080p240 for FPS or ‘E-sport’ titles since I want to push frames. Then use built in 17” 1440p240 for easier to run titles. They just put high res 1440p/1600p displays so our gpus will run out of steam quicker, making us upgrade sooner.. my laptop 3070Ti ran out of oomph already so I built a desktop for my 4K games with RX 7800 XT.

@@RobeytechLive The 165Hz 2560x1600 is the base display and the 480Hz 1920x1200 is a $50 upgrade. However, the higher resolution display is not available with the 7900m or RTX 4080. It is only available with the 4060 and 4090. It really is a stupid move on Alienware's part. It makes the AMD and 4080 versions undesirable and the 4090 is $1,000 more expensive. ASUS will give a 4080 and 4K display for $2,600.
