Күн бұрынHello Everyone and welcome to Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord. I wanted to add some mods in for this series so we are returning to Europe 1100 mod this time as the Vikings to reclaim our past glory and once again make Europe fear the true kings!
Series Info
1.The intention is to unify Scandinavia with the Kingdom of Sweden.
2. No real limitations for this one we are just playing the game as it is with the mods I added
3.I might add in more mods as time goes on feel free to add any recommendations that would work mid save :)

Fun fact, the Swedes and Norwegians weren't the only notable tribes vikinging around at that time. The Curonians were quite feared too and were one of the last tribes in these lands to fiercely oppose the Crusader invasion. Kind of makes me want to get this mod and tell the Pope what I think on behalf of my ancestors too. :D

Check out the "eastern expansion" for Europe 1100 if you haven't already. It builds out the Baltic areas and has dedicated kingdoms for the curonians and others!

That would be awesome, Mongolian Invasion would also be cool. Oh and what about a Black Plague event? It could sweep over the land and infected towns and villages could have like a little biohazard symbol or something. And because of the Plague you wouldn't be able to recruit as many soldiers because some of them were killed off. EDIT: sorry for rambling.

Fun fact, yes the Turks did try to claim the the Roman Empire. The Sulnate of Rum basically translate to Sultanate of Rome. It's alittle more complicated than that if you wanted to dive in the historical context but that's general idea.

You name yourself "Ironside" after naming your clan "Ragnar" if I'm not mistaken. Shouldn't it be vice versa? 😅😅 Nice series btw, looking forward to the beautiful invasions! Also the RBM mod alters the tournaments, with tiers and stuff. You can turn the tournament module off though.

Really love your playthroughs. There is a mod called Guns and Powder which adds guns to the game and in the age of the Napolionic Wars which would be really cool to see.

Have you considered doing some mercenary work and raiding in Rus and Byzantium during the early game? I'd love to see more of the map, and it would make sense thematically. Would be cool to see Ragnar build some experience down south before returning to conquer the north as a veteran.

fun-er fact: Here be [dragons, lions, monsters] (Latin: hic sunt dracones) was first used by Ptolemy when describing terra incognita (unknown lands) in the far north of the north sea. Speaking of a mythological continent, and it's peoples (hyperboreal), rumored to be a donut shaped tropical paradise north of the artic circle, although it's location changed throughout recorded history. Some say it's part of the atlantis myth, but it's also believed to possibly be the origins of the hollow earth myth, and possibly the first recorded mention of Stonehenge. Ptolemy was referencing Herodotus, Herodotus himself referenced Homer, and two others i can't remember the names of. The story of Medusa, slain by Perseus, and later, Hercules can be traced back to it, as well as mythological creatures like griffins and cyclops. I don't see any RBM related info in weapons descriptions, nor the posture bar in battles, yet that mod is mentioned below the video. Are you playing without it, or did you forgot to enable it in load order?

The most "Roman" successor claims would be in the Napoleonic Era, you had the French empire, the Holy Roman Empire, the Ottoman Empire, the Pope, and I think, the Spanish.

The seax is the traditional viking sword, which is a dagger in the game. That's why they are in tourneys and on both peasant soldiers get it, and likely why they were used in the tourney

The Seax was not a viking sword, its simply a broad term that was used over northern europe for a short sword, dagger or similar, it was most common in northern germany through Saxon cultures and the Frisians, and it was a simple cutting tool, a large knife essentially. in Scandinavia sax actually meant something something else, it was the word for scissors.

not sure if ya caught it by now but ya made the family name ragnar and your name ironside so your name is ironside ragnar when ya said ya wanted to be ragnar ironside but maybe ya intended it as that sounds cool either way and if your roleplaying as vikings don't use as many archers norse people saw archers as dishonerable but cool vids (also ya said ya wonder why the nordic ulfender units have two swords they don't they have a sword which should be a axe and a seax which is a dagger or a sax which is used by germanic tribes) also tyr is the war god since ya will be doing a lot of fighting

As a dane I feel offended that Sweden is portrayed as the vikings and the norwegians and danes just addition to the swedes or something 😆 It was the danes that went to northern America and settled. They went to England and did the same. We went to Iceland, Greenland and so on. We had way more land than Norway and Sweden... The bloodline in the english royal house is till this day still of part danish blood, from when a danish king ruled England too.. Also... Regner lodbrog (Ragnar) was half danish aswell as half swedish... PS. nobody likes Sweden, just ask the Norwegians, they are with us danes 👀

The crossbow one I could not get the saves to work with the RBM with the base game ai being worse than ever before in sieges I think its very important now to have ai mods so the game is still fun. If you are referring to the warband series it was performing very poorly so I had to stop it bad videos full on damage a channel and I do not want to lose what I have built up.

Leading Vikings were Denmark. We controlled most of Sweden during Viking days. Not all in movies is fact. Sweden were farmers and fishermen, like Norway.

Seemed interesting at first but sorry I cannot and will not fight against my Lord n Savior Christ Jesus. I’m not catholic lol and yes I understand that Christianity has a pretty bad rep especially back then n now tbh.
