Unlicensed motorcycles on our roads in Newfoundland

Big issue with illegal motorcycles and side by sides on our roads. No insurance on them and driving crazy at the same time.

I'm from St. John's. In parts of the city. Like Goulds and area, I see dirt bikes on the roads all the time.

That’s a fact. We need the documentation to go on the road and they get away with driving like fools and the cops can’t and won’t touch them.

It sickens me on all levels. Wish the police and municipalities had a solution to this province wide problem. Maybe make these types of vehicles 100% illegal

here any motor propelled vehicle , motorbike ,scooter or skateboard over 240 cc or equivalent electric has to have indicators ,brakes and be registered . Can only travel on certain areas , roads or paths but a lot of scooters and bikes dont comply where they travel since a trial of scooter paths began .

It’s the same here but no one follows the law. Police aren’t aloud to chase offenders. People driving vehicles hardly use their signal lights. It’s like the Wild West here at times.

@@7863348 talking to an off duty policeman at doctors clinic a while back , someone rode a bike past the door on footpath . He looked and changed the subject . by the time he got up the bike is gone ..... Good video's anyway , like your tractor mods .

I understand some people can't afford, insurance, registration and the like. But they are few and far between. The young fella who was doing wheelies while tailgating me on St. Thomas's line was wealthy and underage.

Bad Apples all over Paul. Here in Wisconsin most Municipalities have opened most Roads to ATV/UTV Traffic. Except State Highways, 4 lane High Speed, and some High Traffic county roads. I can Drive all over in the City of Merrill on an ATV HAHAHAHA . When I moved after the Fire I drove My ATV with 2 Trailers on the Back 12 Miles to the new Place.. Mike M. P.s. They did the same here in desegregated areas but they’re going everywhere here now and the cops won’t do anything.

Met some lunatic on one wheel the other day, dirt bike on highway. No plate. We are a 4 season playground so its not uncommon, but respecting the law is still necessary.

side by sides are legal in AZ. You register them. Plates and all. Same with Quads. Go Carts etc.

I have no issues with that but if one of these machines here het you there’s no insurance on them and we’re out. Cops won’t chase them down due to legal issues. They are out of control.

Used to walk tracks from country rd to amalgamated academy but there are so many bikes flying around its not safe anymore

Yes quads, side by sides and dirt bikes got the place took over. We used to walk that area at one time but that won’t happen again. Safer staying in the house. Keep safe.

There are a few people around our area that drive side by sides up and down the roads and really shouldn't be. How they get by is beyond me and if i were in their shoes I wouldn't get away with it.

Where I live they are licensed like cars and can drive on the roads.

If its like Ontario, some times the fine is cheaper than the cost of insurance. A guy at work has a Hayabusa and they want $7000.00 a year for insurance and the maximum fine for no insurance is $5000.00 ,so he's two grand ahead. I know the insurance on my goldwing and trailer is 1700.00 a year and I have been riding for over 40 years and a perfect driving record with over 4 million miles on a commercial motor vehicle (transport) so go figure

Well here they don’t pay fines when they get them. People get pulled over for a traffic volition and the cops say the government is owned in sone cases 30 grand in unpaid fines and that only one person. Man insurance isn’t cheap there. We pay around $450 a year for our GoldWing and trailer but it’s only for public liability. I’ve been riding for fifty years. My first bike was bought in 1970. A Honda Z-50. I restored a bike like it a few years back. Just loved that thing. flic.kr/p/7q6zuP

Paul we get them here in the states as well. Maybe not motorcycles but differently motorized bikes driving on the road slowing down traffic and causing problems.

Go to town and see young adults on them electric bicycles. no helmets in a dress going too fast to pass but slow enough to hold up traffic.

They're all over parents by kids off road bikes and when the parents aren't home, they go out on them stirring up trouble I personally hate it as I have spent over 40years riding and it gives us all a bad name.

To be clear I agree there are STUPID people on motorcycles who give us a bad name. Tradition is not "Law". Only COMMERCIAL VEHICLES need to be "licensed" if you own them. But we have been LIED to. Are unwittingly gave the state OWNERSHIP of your vehicle. If you don't have the MCO, you don't own your vehicle. You don't have a "TITLE" either. You have a CERTIFICATE of title. The STATE has the Title. You have the Right of possession. The reason you can get a ticket for a faulty light is because you are not Properly Maintaining the STATES PROPERTY. Welcome to the Red Pill
