Where else but in this episode will you find a conversation that shifts between topics like contract killing and the Indian Underworld/Mafia to book recommendations and science fiction?
Coming at you right before the release of Sacred Games, the much-awaited TV series on Netflix, is this episode of Unlikely Pairings with Rohan Joshi (comedian/Vikram Chandra fanboy) and Vikram Chandra (author of Sacred Games).
Unlikely Pairings - a new show of Books on Toast - is where one author and another person a completely different walk of life, are brought together and chat about well...books. Because what else is there to talk about?

Joshi has this uncanny, enviable and a-wee-bit-frustrating knack of always having the right phrase to use in a situation. (based on the few podcasts i have seen of him). eg "...and then they literally know where the bodis are buried.", "..i too am a writer, mere paas bhi paisa nahin hai" The original BotCast with him is still one of the most entertaining.

I love fat books and I cannot lie!! definitely need to get my hands on this one! will definitely pick more books by Indian authors. Mr. Joshi!! WTF are you?!! I mean I love seeing this side of you. Picking on the nuances of the book! Cannot wait for unlikely pairing episodes. I wouldn't mind if Rohan was on all of them :-p

Great pairing..definitely not an unlikely one.Rohan joshi has always been a great interviewer and I have enjoyed watching him in every interview.Though I am writing this comment weeks after this video has been out I assure you I have seen this video like 5-6 times which I do with most of the Botcast episodes.Really enjoyed vikram chandra speak about his personal struggles and happy memories etc. while writing the book.I am most likely to pick up the book in the next few days and then watch the netflix series. Just one suggestion though,as I am a big fan of Anuya Sharin and ofcourse Botcast ..I would really love to see now the Chandra family(Vikram Chandra,Tanuja Chandra ,Anupama Chopra ,Zuni Chopra) on Botcast .It would just be a treat to watch that episode .And if possible if you could have Rohan Joshi in that episode too it would be just great.😜 To much to ask but it would be great if you could do it Lots of Love♥️♥️
