Thanks Robert It's great to get a better understanding on Bonamassa style of soloing. There is such richness of he's playing where we can hear jazz and country but always faithful to the blues. He's is really taking the blues to another level. And you Robert are doing a great job explaining it for us. Thanks Robert!

Yeah man. Really like this one. Get a lot of inspiration from Bonamassa. I like the way he puts different concepts together. He has spent much time with his hands on the strings. I believe it just seems to come natural. It comes from playing a lot. And who wants to play the same old stuff all the time. Thanks for showing it at a pace where I can play with it. I think the lesson here is, if it sounds cool, play it.

ok, so just getting a chance to work on this. I'm using a bit of delay and chorus (because it sounds cool, lol). I noticed when I get to the hammer on the E string, 6th to 7(Bb-B) and back to the G (5th fret D string), it sounds very Robin Trower (bridge of sighs). Phase90 even more so. just saying, lol. I'm definitely having fun with this one

I'm glad you are shining a light on the weird side of blues licks. I generally play to what might sound cool in the riff. But if it doesn't, I'll hang on the bad note for a while like I meant to do it, then slide to the correct note. That's what decades on the guitar can do.

Rob the way I see it is the lick is in D Major / B minor (F# and C#) apart from that Bb to B hammer on on the low E string which you could view as a Major 7 to B, or a #5 to D - either of which would be fine in a Blues run like Joe fires off every day.
