How does Teams work on this? Will still be Guest or External users or will directly be like there were all in the same AD?

In my testing, shows up as a guest. This article explains it - learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/enterprise/multi-tenant-people-search?view=o365-worldwide - remember this is still in preview of course.

Thanks - great stuff. Do you know if there is any difference between MTO and Cross-tenant synchronization/Cross-tenant access, except from the setup process?

From what I understand this is supposed to remove the confusion around guest users. So that new chats are created towards "the external user account" instead of the guest user account. When only using the tenant synchronization, 2 users can have 3 different direct chats, A to B(guest tenant), B to A(Guest Tenant) and an external chat. I base this on another KZfaq video I've seen. In practice I haven't got that working yet. But I only just enabled the feature.

Nice one Peter, any idea what the security impact is with regard to file sharing/ collaboration between tenants? And also gdpr related issues and data leaks could that be an issue? Cheers!👋🏼

As with every new feature like this, we need to be mindful of these implications as a separate concern to enabling the MTC and look into this on a per use case basis.

Thank you for your very useful video. I just want to set it up for a company that owns another company and would like the users of the second company flow into the mother comapny so that I can give them access to sharepoint folder. The problem is that I can't find Multi Tenant Collaboration option in my ORG settings. Do I need another plan to access this option? Thank you.

Entra ID P1 licence is required - as per learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/external-id/cross-tenant-access-overview#important-considerations

I still can't figure how to enable a multi tenant application integrated to multiple AD. In B2C we would have a multi tenant app and a custom policy with AD as IdP resolving domain names in sign in process. Now, there is nowhere I can have the same. At least from what I've seen so far. So, as a SaaS application provider, trying to integrate my customers' o365 users, seems to not be possible anymore?
