@Effendyhu ⁠hello again :) i was wondering two things is it possible to open the boot without turning the car off and how does the passenger lock the car from inside, without leaning over to driver’s side to lock it?

There is a boot opening button on the driver door next to the three strings. To lock the car, I haven't found an effective way to do this apart from using the app. The voice command doesn't work yet for locking the car

Which version of App Manager are you using? I have tried 6.4 and cant get it to work. Also I cant get Aurora to work either I have tried Version 4.2.3 and other versions. I can install it on the BYD Seal but when I open it and go through the settings I can't grant all permissions. The permission to allow install, when I click on it, I just get booted back to the BYD home page. I have also installed the package unlocker from your share folder. Cheers

Please. Can anyone tell me how to unlock the central so I can install Aurora Store or gbox because my Central was in version 2312 and I can't do anything. I put the pen drive in and it doesn't do anything. Can someone help me.

hi, can your BYD watch netflix? i have problem to sign in my netflix eventhough all the password are correct on the BYD showed invalid.

You can only install a specific version (NETFLIX_4.16.1.apk) that is still working

Would we lose our car Warranty if we install third party apps??? I did the downgrade to the previous official BYD firmate update, installed All apps I wanted, and updates to latest OTA update. Everything os fine, however Today I went to BYD Málaga,Spain, and the seller made me think about this issue, ... nevertheless, I think amy engine issue, car parts issue etc should have a different Warranty, and infotainment another One . If your Seat, belt or a windows does not work properly, Warranty should cover those kind of issues independently if you installed third party apps or not... What do you think ?

I think this is a gray area, technically you shouldn't lose the car warranty, as the infotainment portion have very little to do with the mechanics of the car and there are separate firmware that operates all the car electronics which are untouchable from the user.

Thanks! I plugged in my USB but no password asked and I copied the USB file to local files successfully. I tried to open the file and the warning popped up😢. Can you advise?

you need to put the file inside a directory called "third party apps" (need to be exact case, no quotes) in the USB drive before plugging it in.

Hi need your help I have BYD Yuan Plus 2023. I have downloaded your package installer and by mistake I installed the locker. Now its locked and I only can install from BYD Sore. the software version on my car is 1.3 i tried it serval times but no password comes up. Please Advice. Thanks

if you don't have the latest 1.7 firmware, your should be able to. Just follow the instruction and the car should prompt you with the password

This is no longer possible after the latest update. Just for your info, the edutainment system is separate to the car control, so adding app to the system is no riskier than downloading app from the Android app store. Providing you are installing legitimate app.

@@hosamassaf1908 It might work. You need to check whether the sim card is activated, that can only be done in dealership. For radio you only need to scan the station

I think it will retained the existing app, but you will no longer able to install a new one

did you have the folder called "third party apps" with no quotes and have all the file in there?

@@Effendyhu the folder is labeled third party apps which files do I need to have in there? The same usb drive was used in the yuan plus and worked fine. Not sure if a different folder name and files are needed

But how did you get to the password login? You jumped from the system not allowing third party apps to the login screen....how was that done?

The password login pops up if you have firmware lower than 1.7 and you put the apk files inside a usb stick with the right folder name

Where did you get the password? Is it the same one I created for the phone app, or did you receive it from BYD when you bought the car?

@@sisaykelka1152 no the password depends on the version of your firmware. Your firmware have to be lower than version 1.7, because after 1.7 this function no longer available

I just checked and it still allows me to install app from Aurora app store after upgrade to 1.8, I do have the package install unlocked previously in 1.6

most likely you didn't have the right folder name. It has to be exact case

@@idobitan6968 the newest version could be 1.7 so you won't be able to side load. But you can downgrade to earlier version. I found some instructions, but haven't tried this yet.

You can't download playstore you can install Aurora store through side loading and it is pretty much like app store.

@@koj2570 unlock allows you to install apps from app store like Aurora. Lock is locking it back to prevent from installing, which is default setting that come with the car.

Did you get an OTA for this version ? I'm on 23.1.6.2312073.1 ? I can side load apps without any issues from the aurora store
