I was under the mistaken impression that getting a better engraving was mostly about choosing the right algorithm. I now know a LOT more, and I appreciate your posting this tutorial.

@@ImagR-Laser Hey Luki I know this is a little off topic but I've noticed in several videos where you are using these clear acrylic "T" type clamps to hold down your work on the honeycomb engraving platform. Did you make them or buy them? Those are awesome!! Whichever is the case, can you send me a link to them or a file? I'm on ImagR too if you need to find me. Thank you very much! 😀😀

good video nice for you to show us but I have some issues im using s 10w diode like you say change values but how to know what to change to also the images look great on the software as done some but when lasered they were horrible So proof is in the pudding Meaning it would be nice to see the results from the laser engraving/etching itself

Great video explained your process well, the only thing that would improve this would be if you called out what you were selecting and hovered over it before clicking to give your viewers time to find what you're doing and follow along. Thanks, Mark

I love ImagR 🙌 ! I use it with my cO2 laser. I bought the lifetime offline version about a year ago. It looks like there’s different features added in this video. Is there an updated version since last year? If so, how do I update etc. I wish there was a feature to lighten and darken specific isolated areas in a picture. Any way.. ImagR is AWESOME. Thank you very much for making such a fantastic product!!!

I think I'd have better luck if I knew what the image should look like, like what the gamma/other settings do and how much should they be altered. And what should I be looking for in an altered image?
@magic1nds7 ай бұрын
I agree i think teaching the tools and what they do so we can get the concept knowing how changing one thing changes another to get the best results so we can look at an image and say ok i ned to change this or that to get this.. that woud be a much better tutrial in my opinion. Ie if you have diode or IR or Co2 or Fiber then this is the workflow.. that you need to do to achive this result. or the aim is to make blacks more black or white more white or by using the inver otion or gamma ou get my point. so many options that i am lsot like am i doing this right and i give up trying.. casuse it comes out jsut ok or not atall with the odd win here and there.. thats my rant anyway lol it look great in your video but i still dont think i would get the results your getting casu every image is different. but i will try it.
@ImagR-Laser7 ай бұрын
That is exactly what we explain here. We even show a side by side at the end between diode and co2 prepared images. Exactly what you describe is what we did here. And we can‘t give you a rule for all images. But you can see very well how we prepare them. Sometimes you need more gamma to fix the blacks, sometimes less, like on the charizard. Like we explain in all wood tutorials, increase gamma for co2, it doesn‘t matter for diode or fiber. That‘s all you have to keep in mind.

@@ImagR-Laser I find it hard to know what we are aiming for though and what's being engraved. Is it the whites that are being engraved or the blacks. When it's inverted to not inverted. I Wil figure it one day at present using xcs and lightburn but for the f1 it im using there Jarvis and sliders. As I can't put pass though on that yet anyway. Only when I use blue laser on my falcon laser.

Interesting video that looks like it has good effect, but your image promoting the video is very misleading as it is certainly not one click, but about 50 clicks to get to the end result.

We are talking about the shading and detail effect, which is basically 1 click :) Of course you need more clicks to set the correct image size etc :)
