I am in awe of how God is purposeful and deliberate with His children. Earlier on this week, I asked God to breath life into my prayers, because I struggled with prayer, often making a seemingly generic prayer everyday. I started getting bored, not looking forward to my prayer sessions. The enemy was using this to get me to stop praying. Today, I was fasting and asked God to lead me into what I should pray for. God led me to pray for Him to teach me how to pray, and I stumbled upon this. Wow, just wow! I will be sharing this with my bible study group as well as I was also praying that God would lead me into what to share during the Bible study session. I am in tears right now at God's love for His children. God bless you Pr. Mark

My mind wanders nonstop. When reading outloud, talking, listening to my pastor and others praying, others talking. Dreaming, if I don't like the dreams, I change them by going back and redoing them. During my dreaming. Moses said we are to control our thoughts. Don't seem to be doing a good job. But, not giving up!

Pastor Finley, my husband and I were just talking a couple days before this video saying that we wished you had a sermon (or a series of sermons) where all you talk about are all the amazing things you've seen in all your preaching and traveling all over the world over the years. Your experiences are so interesting and encouraging - and now this new story about India! Also, I'm currently going through your Revelation Bible studies and I'm so thankful you went chapter by chapter. I've always been scared about Revelations but you've helped me understand it so much and I am blown away by how the Bible is so united throughout the whole book. I thought I'd never understand with all the symbols and weird visions but your teaching is really getting me there. Your comment seem to deny the existence of free will. It is possible for a person to go against God's will for their lives. Bible tells us that God's desire is for all to be saved, yet, we know from scripture and history that all won't be saved because some have chosen and will choose to be lost.

So it has been so tough lately, trying to battle depression but i can't hold it. I turned to God, prayed as you said. I actually been so prayeful since when i received Christ again 2 years ago. Why hasn't He answered my prayers. Even the simplest of all, to make my day great. I have prayed and prayed but no answers. Is God angry with me? Well i have tried enough and all i asked is somebody to listen to me, someone i can tell my feelings. How i feel like i should just die and not continue with this life. I have been hurt a LOT. Well i can't trust Him again, He will loose me forever now. But I TRIED🥺. I just can't believe i am paying for my parent's sins and fault and im innocent. Why suffer for someone's else fault? Goodbye God and all SDA family

This is just exactly what I needed. As a stay-at-home mom with two little ones under 4 years old it definitely is a struggle finding the best time to commune with God. Thank you for helping me get over some mom guilt. Just can’t get up super early in the morning to do my devotions after waking up several times to feed our baby. But I do try my best to have my devotions right when I wake up even if the kids wake up around the same time I do or a little after I did. Thank you for your ministry. Blessings to the entire team!

My father in-law is a retired pastor who for decades prayed every morning for his lost son to come back to God and to his family but he never did and tragically died alone. Church folk will find some very creative words to explain away why my father in-laws prayer was never answered.

Peter, I'm very sorry for the emotions that your family has gone through. There is a theory that some believe that God arbitrarily chooses who are saved and who are lost. But we do not worship such a being. What I'd ask you to consider is also the fact that the God of the Bible respects our freedom of choice. A person can be saved or lost because of their choice. Even when we pray, God does everything within His power to save a person. But if a person resists, God can only honor a person's choice.

@@HL365 Thank you for your response. Choice is a word that doesn’t always hold a lot of weight. Anyone born after Adam & Eve weren’t granted a choice to be born with or without a sinful nature. Many are walking away from the faith because getting a prayer answered is basically a toss up. The bible is filled with signs and wonders that we simply don’t experience in our day. So we are left with just blind faith hoping that somehow a God that you can’t see, hear or feel cares about you. Men need more tangible signs and not emotionalism. I guess what Jesus said to Thomas is correct. “You believe because you’ve seen, but more blessed are those that believe that have not seen.” Now of course that was spoken during the time when the early Christians actually experienced the supernatural as compared to now when they don’t.
