I think this is the answer to breeding Tetras in my extremely hard water area, got quite an elaborate, used R/O system from ebay for very little money and about to hook it up and feel the benefit ❤

RO makes perfect sense for human consumption however, for the aquarist, not so much. Those filters remove everything essentially creating sterilized water. Minerals found in nature that fish depend on to live are filtered out. You could add them out of a bottle however, the fewer the chemicals, the happier your fish will be.

This is completely unnecessary for 99% of the freshwater hobbyists RO water wasn't even attainable for the average guy until the 90tys what are we now able to do in the freshwater hobby that we couldn't do without RO water? just another thing that inexperienced hobbits think they have to spend money on, that they don't need if they took the time to learn and master the nitrogen cycle and how PH really works.
