Will you discuss the process of using cloud storage vs multiple HD drives? Also, how to set it up. I currently use Plex, I don't like the constant pinging and data collection, also have 80TB of almost full hard drives. That is why I am looking at Jellyfin. Lastly , how important is transcoding? With Jellyfin that feature is free. I am using your series to build an Unraid server to replace my windows 10 machine.

Jellyfin allows for transcoding. I have a Nvidia graphics card , can you go thru the install of the Nvidia drivers. Also does the folders docker do the same thing as a docker network?

I can do a video on installing Nvidia. Docker Folders and Docker network are not the same thing. The folders are to group your Docker contianers together in an effort to clean up the dashboard . The Docker network is a custom defined network that you assign to the Docker containers. It allows them to all communicate with each other by container name vs IP address.

It seems like I a newbie here and just started my unraid journey. Before/now still using Synology as my main system and using it only as home storage/ sharing files/photos or Plex... But I like the whole connections between services in synology, it feels seamless. Unraid feels like an empty template for me. My main question is the file/share structure for the whole server. I mean logical templates and connections between dockers like arr and other services, to make everything reachable and make friendly for the family members as end users. Thank you so much for your videos! Everything is pretty clean, understandable and easy. 🙇‍♂ Now I need to watch the all videos. I'm glad to find such a great channel!

Thank you for reaching out, glad you are enjoying my content.A To make it easy for the arr's to communicate I use the following share folder structure: The main share is "Media" then I have sub-folders for all my media types: Movies, Documentaries, TV, TV Documentaries, 3D Movies, Music, Music Videos, Stand-Up, Photos, ebooks, audiobooks, etc... That way when you set up Radarr, Sonarr, Lidarr, ETC, you just set the Docker container data share to the "Media" share and you can select the data that it needs from within the containers settings. I have the same type of setup for the downloads, "Download" share, with Completed, Incomplete, Unzipped contained within. On that note, I am going to change my setup so that it uses a top-level folder that will house the downloads and the media, making it more efficient on the system for moving data. The new share structure is going to be something like "Data" with "Downloads" and "Media" contained within it, and then all the normal subfolders are going to be within the Downloads and Media folders. Hope that all makes sense, Jeff
