UNLV went down to Baton Rouge to take on Shaquille O'Neal, Chris Jackson and Stanley Roberts. In this game, Stacey Augmon did not get to board the plane, was told while boarding he could not travel or play. Dick Vital and Kieth Jackson on the call.

I was at this game. I still have the ticket stub. If you lived in Louisiana, you knew who Chris Jackson was.

Great video. A wonderful era for college hoops. You'll never see this much talent on the floor at the same time ever again in a college game. Loved the up and down style of play back then also, LMU, UNLV, Oklahoma, Arkansas... another thing of the past. I also loved the games on ABC. Keith and Dick were great together. And he foot locker slam fest at half time. Great memories. I was about 12 during this time... when I really fell in love with hoops.

Got to love Makmu Abdul Rauf aka Chris Jackson. Incredible player. The Rebels would have one if Augmon was active to play. It was fun either way. Was this the final or semi finals of NIT

Rebels would still have lost even with Augmon. He would not have been able to stop the LSU big men inside. I do agree UNLV would have won had it been played in Vegas or a neutral site. And this was not the NIT at all, it was just a regular season game in spring of 1990.

Who the hell AUGMON gonna guard? Chris Jackson, Stanley Roberts, SHAQ !!!? You would have been better off saying, If UNLV had AUGMON the outcome probably would have been different.
