The guy on second bike actually acknowledged the camera… a cheeky rolling burnout would be a little much to ask yet great to see he was alert to being filmed. A darker viser may be advised in that situation!

The convoy guy on the push bike with the torn jeans at the knee and with the white sneakers on (behind the second m/cyclist) impressed me the most. He looked so casual and was professionally keeping his composure, as rear guard.

These Volvo police cars are really common, not sure how you've missed them Might be a regional thing, I don't live in London. Virtually all H&IoW armed response police cars are identical to this.

I remember seeing one of the terrorist incidents in London a few years back and one of the first people on scene was "a brave motorcyclist who stopped to intervene". I thought "yeh right, that was mi5 or something and they were tailing that guy"

possible but i don't think so, MI5's main purpose is surveillance, normally the SAS or a similar "special forces" group do the dirty work according to Tom Marcus (ex security services surveillance officer) in his book, however it's possible he was an MI5 officer and took it upon himself to intervene, wouldn't say for definite though

@@themessiah7542 Yeah you're absolutely right there. The intelligence services use 'E' squadron of the SAS. They are hand picked from other squadrons. The best operators. I think they are actually based in London but I'm not certain. They are definitely a rapid reaction force and are in direct contact with Downing St and intelligence agencies. I also believe there is a detachment of SRR blokes working with intelligence who are out and about in plain clothes and would most likely be armed

FYI - The second bike is a 'Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10' & the first one is a 'BMW GS' of some type, I'm not a big BMW guy, the plate's coming back to a 'G310' but that definitely isn't a 300cc machine.

Incorrect model for the kawasaki: It's not a zx-10 but a Ninja 1000. the zx-10 is a race bike with far more aggressive ergonomics and a much more aggressive front end design.

I was waiting to go watch Les Miserables in the West End a few weeks ago and the Volvo had stopped to apprehend a shoplifter by the looks of it. It was stopped on the street with the blue lights flashing and they had some kid up against a shop doorway.

The other one is a 1250 BMW according to government website. If they are cops or MI5 or whatever they should have better leg protection than Kevlar jeans i.e. leather trousers or proper "ballistic material" bike jeans and the Kawasaki kid is wearing bike style trainers. Always wear a decent pair of boots on a momobike.

Legends. You see them doing loops around London on the North Circular, usually two German estate cars and a passenger van in tight convoy. They aim to have a unit within 7 minutes of anywhere in the city. Real life heroes that put the rest of the police in this country to shame.

The ones that are difficult to identify are those with the colors silver, grey or white since those are normie colors that almost everyone buys.

The Highway Code is just a guide, nothing else. There are things in it that are not even Law. It is a code, a guide offering mostly good advice, but not everything in it can be enforced in law. Also, not all traffic laws are listed in it. It is only an advisory booklet.

They're not. John Doe or Rokker (this one probably preferred in the UK) has a wide range of AAA-rated Jeans available. These offer better biker protection than nearly all not-leather police motorbike suits. I right now wear one of those, during my normal day at work. Also pretty sure the "unrecognisable standard hoodie" is fitted with protectors and Kevlar abrasion resistant material.
