Makes no sense to me when clubs sack managers from good positions. Seems like this is coming from a lot of American owners too, ie the Bournemouth ones who sacked O Neill, and now Tom Brady and his consort for Birmingham. Very harsh and a lot of the time it backfires. Bournemouth is ruing the sacking of o Neill big time and they’ve got Karma blowing up in their face after being absolutely blown to pieces by Everton at the weekend and if Birmingham aren’t careful the same could happen to them. This culture of sacking managers for no reason is ridiculous and karma is fully deserved

Genuinely baffling decision. In the playoff spots, doing really well. Most people predicted them down in the relegation battle pre season. The most unsurprising move this season, after only a few weeks ago Tom Brady and the gang denied Rooney they were keen on shipping Rooney in. Even the transfers this summer looked like Rooney had a hand in it, recruiting his Derby players Bielik and Buchanan.

Just because you were a great player, doesn't instantly make you a great coach... Lampard, Gerrard, no track record, mediocre coaches at best. This smacks of the same type of appointment and will probably end in tears. Feel really sorry for John Eustace.

Wayne Rooney!?! WTF!!! What has he done as a manager? From what I've seen of his teams including in the MLS he's a bit of a disaster. Makes no sense why you would go down this road, particularly given how poorly managers like Lampard and Gerrard have performed in the Premier League in recent years and I'm sure there are others. You'd want a foreign manager if you're looking to go big.

@@saab2906 I was replying to someone who mentioned England goals little plastic fan. PL goals games to goals Ratio he wasn't top 5...he got 208 goals but played nearly 500 games. Aguero got 187 in only 275. Rooney was indeed overrated as a player. As a manager and tactician? 🤣🤣🤣 he struggles to string a sentence together 🤣
