That's ridiculous. Biden did put a lot of reforms for people in the Chips Act and the Inflation Reduction Act. His administration has also got inflation down to the lowest level in the developed world except Japan (and possibly Switzerland). Wages are also increasing faster than inflation on the whole. There has also been more union activism and more enforcement of existing laws on the part of the NLRB. That all seems like a win. Besides, with Congress split between both parties right now, and with the dysfunction in the Republican Party, it is unrealistic to expect him to pass anything more right now.

One update: Blacks are not “falling behind” economically today but they are suffering more overt negativity than in the years from 1970 to 1990. That is because as the nation gets to be closer to 50-50 whites and minorities, a lot of whites are simply freaked out by that possibility. With Trump and the Republican courting of white Evangelicals (many of them from the old Southern states) the nation has been subject to the validation of what had been covert racism. So you get more legislation whose effects are overtly racist and boldly so. Totally disappointing as well as ironically unChristian.

If this was designed to be an ad to get people to move to Texas, MSNBS probably succeeded. I would much rather live in a state where people have a chance to succeed based on merit, rather than "diversity, equity, and inclusion." If I needed one, I would rather have the best heart surgeon, rather than someone who got the job strictly because he/she/IT checked off enough "diversity" boxes. If that means moving to Texas, so be it. Thanks for the information, MSNBS!

Diversity is about giving all races a chance to succeed due to their merit why is it when a white person succeeds it's due to merit yet when a person of color succeeds it's because of their color so are you saying a person of color doesn't have the same level of merit as a white person.diversity was created because people of color weren't being given a chance to succeed in spite of our merit.

DEI is allowed to exist in Texas, just not in colleges that are state funded. DEI college offices, seems to only be used as a racially exclusive study hall. I think community should be a collection of like minds. Not just sorting people by their shade of skin color.

I've been a Democrat for the last 24 years, and I've been wanting this to happen since I first started noticing it creeping into colleges ~20 years ago. All it took was an ounce of logic applied to their Intersectional talking points to expose it as the same kind of racist and sexist system of oppression they're supposedly fighting against, only flipped upside down so now straight white men were on the bottom. Sorry, but I'm not supporting *any* system of racist oppression, no matter if it comes from the Left or the Right!

NZ currency has Māori and Pākehā shown on the notes. Even once apartheid South Africa, has now been ruled by dark brown for 39 years and has an anthem containing several local languages. This is how two countries outside the US deals with diversity and integration compared to 'stuck in the past, racist colonial America'.

My company is heavily into DEI and I like it. We have different chat groups for all sorts of different cultures and backgrounds, and I'm learning about people from all over the world. It makes me feel good to see everyone accepted and respected.

If we abided by states rights we could all just live and let live differently, NY could be NY, and TX could be TX, and we wouldn't have all of this division because we would be allowed to test many individualistic ideas and not fight over every tiny issue at the fed level. It isn't wise for us to continue to move toward putting all of our eggs into one corrupt one-size-fits-all federal basket as we scream about individualism.

And don't hate and convict people for what you fear they may do. When the truth is they haven't done anything to you. That's not due process. If you are a civilized human? Then you should be reasonable and law abiding as well. That's your sickness, you're always creating a negative reality and then preparing for it and acting it out.
