as a Midzy, I want to add that I would love for the company to give Lia more lines in lower keys so she can sing comfortably and high notes for Chae.. I think there would be more vocal balance this way

The reason itzy has never focused on vocals is bc they never debuted as a vocal group. They weren’t given the same attention when it came to vocals as NMIXX. They’re more of a performance focused group. Which is hilarious considering they put all these insanely high notes in their songs like whatttttt. I really wish they did focus on vocals just a tad bit more bc I feel like Chae and Yeji have a lot of potential! Yuna even has a cool tone! And Lia could be even better but bc they do not focus on vocals her vocals aren’t as strong as they should be. Her tone is really beautiful so it’s kinda sad. Waste of potential tbh considering Yeji has the range and a versatile tone, while chae has soft vocals with a good range too, and Lia has the tone, and rasp. Smh. WASTED POTENTIAL I TELL UUU- their vocals aren’t even bad their live singing is pretty good for them to have some of the weakest vocals in 4th gen rn. It’s just compared to these other groups like Aespa and NMIXX They are so underprepared in that area!!!!

My whole thing on Yuna's singing is that's she's not bad at it, her voice is just more suited for rapping.

People want to hate on their vocals when they regularly sing live. It’s easy to sound perfect when everything is lip synced.

The people underestimating there vocals is really true there not that bad as people say they are lia actually sings quite nice and did you hear that boys like you chearyoung high note like they're pretty good then you say they are

JYP has always produced wholesome and grounded idols. Just look at their senior, WonderGirls. Very humble and very nice until today.

yuna is good in both rapping and singing i think, but her flow when shes rapping is really good.

I was lucky enough to attend their concert and their vocals and performance were so good! They were really stable and sounded good

Yuna is god at rapping than singing that's why she is lead rapper and not lead vocalist lol.

I think JYP has realized and is trying to put the member's strengths for their recent comebacks. Ryujin and Yuna have become the rap line (e.g. BLY, MITM, Sneakers) while Yeji Lia & Chaery is more of the vocal line.

Itzy isn’t scandalous (I think). The most criticized one was Yuna and even she had no scandals!

Honestly, being stable while singing live and dancing choreo like them is already remarkable. They need to have the sufficient techniques in order to pull that off, and people keep on complaining. Yes, they do not have much vocal based songs, doesnt mean they cant sing.. some or not many GG out there cannot even support their range or dont have even one who can. They underestimated ITZY just because many of their song are on steady high pitch which some if not many people call it shouting? Loud music? Many of the 4th generation do the same. They just probably dont like their vocal tone. For a dancing focused GG, they already have enough vocal and still in development.

Regardless of what u say about itzy’s current music, they are the most successful Korean 4th gen group. They were the first 4th gen group from the big 3 and they proved themselves. Yeah, they aren’t doing that well rn but they’re still relevant !

In my opinion, I think their vocals are not that bad. I mean, we have better vocalist out there, but keep in mind that everything they sing, they actually CAN sing. And even live. A lot of ggs have songs with really high notes, which don't really suits their actual skills and are out of their vocal range. Itzy don't have in their songs much of higher notes, but the song keys are suitable for them and they can sing it without much of struggles + dance to their choreographies (which are really fast and kinda difficult, so it's better for them to have "easier" vocals in song)
