Unreal Engine 4.18 - Improved Clothing Tools Highlight

Improved in Unreal Engine 4.18, the Clothing Tools now allow a user to both Author and Edit Cloth inside of the engine. No longer will you have to use a separate program to test and author the cloth then test it in the engine only to have something need tweaking causing you to repeat this process until you get it right.

I have my clothes as separate skeletal meshes from my character's mesh. How do I add clothing simulation to these?

I wonder if there is a more in depth version, I have a hard time getting a high poly mesh to work. But that could probably be solved in a number of different ways... say using a "mask" ( have no idea what that does) or there is some poly/weight formula/rule of thump.

It's looks like nice Nick Valentine fanart there : D (maybe?) I have question because I have none experience with Unreal but little bit with Unity. Is this coat thick? Doing cloth simulation in Unity was pain and doing thick cloth was actually impossible. There was a asset for that (obi cloth) but it wasn't very effective.. or maybe buggy or just to complicated to use. So does my eyes fool me or in Unreal engine you can simulate thick cloth without suicide thoughs?

I'm wondering.. how can you apply wind to the UE4 cloth system? Drag n drop doesn't do anything.

i am having the same issue, i tried to use show->clothing->apply wind on my mesh but it doesn't work too, we need some help.

This should work, but there is some "magic" tricks to this that I cant figure out... say I can make a flag work with wind, but it will not collide with the environment - and for cloth the painted areas "blow up" on me, most probably because I don't know how (to make) various paramters/brushes work together... we need some kind of: when this happens, you can do this... tutorials. (also you need to consider collision ... like in this tutorial, only I don't know what problem is actually fixed: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gsyBpdeAzqiyZJc.html )

But how do you activate the cloth?. If you go to the official docs, it's from 4.17... and the settings in 4.18 are not the same anymore. The clothing experimental option is not there. How bad the documentation can be... .... that's a shame

the stable release of 4.18 marks the day the feature is no longer experimental and SFW.
