In this video, I will show you how to control the opacity of an object in the sequencer by using the material parameter collection. I had to look through many websites and watch many videos before I figured this out.

Thank you for explaining the hotkeys for constants and multiply nodes. So many tutorials regarding materials just speed through all of that without exaplining how they do it

Something this simple shouldn't be this complicated. In order to implement this, I need to create hundreds of new materials in my project.

Thank You. This is really nice but in many cases not practicable if the Opacity doesn´t work on the Shadow too! Maby there´s a workaround for.

Use harware raytracing to affect the shadow from project settings.

I need the opacity channel for to plug in my png. Could I use multiply to plug them both in?

If you import the png and make a new material from it, then yes this method should work, without the need of a second multiply node. However if you want to make your png transparent (aka no background), I’ll be uploading a video about this in shortly

I had the same issue. Luckily for me it was a simple cloth material so I used the main texture to create a material. Hoping you find the answer because I'll probably need to know in the future.

i just did with my 3 material character, just copy those 4 node into other metarial and just key opacity, it will work same time on 3 material
