How would I do this to make a player teleport an object, instead of itself? I have a character that is meant to run over a trigger before a tunnel, and it moves an object to the other end of that tunnel.

hello can you help me with a problem so im making a online mulitplayer shooter and i watched this to figure out how to teleport him to respawn but for some reason the server host can get teleported/respawned can you help me with this?

Hey, so I am creating a level in Stack O Bots. I followed the mapping exactly as explained in the video, but when I go into the level the teleported does now show up or teleport the player. The Hidden in Game button isn't checked and it says Editor Only is false. Please help and thank you in advance.

Thank you for the tutorials. Would you mind doing a tutorial for a first person QTE? Like in the first person games (resident evil), the enemy tries to grab you and you cant move your mouse and do a certain key to escape it? I know this needs a specific animations but it would be cool to know the logic on blending/syncing the animations for it.

Hello, great tutorial! Just one question, I don't need the cylinder object if I'm trying to make my teleporter invisible, right? It's just there for visual demonstration purposes? If I remove it from the blueprint, will I need to change the event port or construction site setup?

So it's purely visual so you know where you'll be getting teleported to :) It's hidden in game with no collision so it makes no difference

question, i used this video to make a teleporter and i appreciate the video! its amazing. but i have a bug that i wonder if you know how to fix. the Arrow of my teleporter, is not saving its location when i place it, and when i close UE and re-enter, it is below the map and sends my PC falling.

make sure the arrow is not inside the Static Mesh group, put it under the DefaultSceneRoot

Hello! And thank you for this amazing video. Works beautifully. Althought, i've been pounding my head against a wall trying to figure something out. The arrow resets it's location whenever I restart the engine. Is there any possible insight you could share on this?

Hmm that is so strange I've honestly got no clue why unfortunately. Probably pointless to say but make sure you're saving of course, apart from that I'm really not too sure I'm afraid. After you've set it's position make sure you've compiled and saved that specific BP as well. Aside from that I can only presume it's a bug! Good luck 🙂

Well shit. For future viewers; I had attached the arrow to the capsule component. Attaching it to the mesh fixed the issue.

0:45 UE5.1 I had to add a MakeScriptTypeElementHandle to get it to work off the Element Handle on the SetRelativeTransform. Sad to say Figured that out, but took me 10mins to figure out to move the arrow from the BP to set the Teleport location....

Works great with the teleportation.... however, my character is getting smaller once entered the teleporter. Which is a fun bug, but a bug nontheless, any ideas why this might be happening?

Make sure when setting the location and rotation the scale is the same scale as your character :)

You need to make the variable visible in the blueprint

Why are you speedrunning the blueprint part? I literally had to pause frame by frame, because nothing's on the screen for more than a frame or two. Breathe.

The whole BP setup is on screen at the end for a good 5 seconds my friend, the tutorial is meant to be a quick one :)

Hey thanks man! Do you mean 1 teleporter which takes you to different places? For this you can just use a variable to change the location you're sent to. If you just want 10 teleporters you can use the same method were using right now, just duplicate the current teleporter and change the destination :)
