Thank you for this video! I don't do gaming, but I wanted a keyboard with lighting and found the Razer Cynosa Chroma. I didn't need anything fancy, but I like that the keys aren't loud, it has cool lighting effects, and I wanted to be able to set up my own color configurations. However, being new to gaming keyboards and specifically Razer, finding tutorials on how to do the customization was fairly lacking. The tutorials either didn't have step by step, no talking at all & just really quick screenshots, or the talking was so muffled and impossible to follow. But then I found your video. Your tutorial helped me do exactly what I wanted to do and I just wanted to thank you for your clarity and explanations.

Thanks for the awesome video! Just got into looking at keyboards(literally like just a few hours ago lol) and the light customization feature is getting me so hyped up and excited(can't believe I never knew about this even after having a Razer mouse for over a year...)! This video really helped me get a grip on both the overall concepts and the more technical aspects of light customization - your channel is so great and will sure to be sticking around for more awesome content! You got yourself a sub with this super informative video(great for beginners, btw)! Also, could you maybe make some more beginner tutorials and videos? Not just for me(although I'll be sure to watch them), but I think a lot of people are getting into gaming and just having a cool set up - and you seem like you have a lot of information and knowledge to share. Maybe the vids could be more of an overall, concept-focused type of deal, where instead of walking us through how to create certain chroma profiles(those videos are so awesome though too, the designs you make are great!), you can talk more about how certain hardwares work(I'm still so confused with how mechanical keyboards have different switches and linear/clicky/tactile) and different compaines that sell this stuff(Razer, etc.). Anyways, keep up the great work and know that your channel is going to grow if you keep up all this amazing content - you deserve so much more subs!

FYI the ambient awarness will see the color of your screen and put it accordingly to the keybaord so for example, the half right is green and the half left is purple, it will show it like that on the key board too

I recently bought a Blackwidow Chroma v2 TE and it came to my attention that the lighting lags whenever google chrome opens and might lag in the middle and games. Do you know why this happens for whatever reason?

I don’t think it is keyboard related rather than Synapse software related. I would ask on the Razer reddit page for a good answer

Thanks for the tutorial, very helpful. *Side note, my CPU usage with this keyboard was way to high. Moving it from a USB hub to a rear port on the PC dropped it from 18% down to a more normal usage. May help someone:)

Just got myself a Razer Cynosa Chroma, and this was a god send for setting up my keys for Overwatch... although there's something I've been wondering that you may be able to answer; In Overwatch you press Q to do your ultimate ability... is there a way to hotkey Q, while playing Overwatch, to do an effect on my entire keyboard? Like wave multicoloured for a second, then go back to normal?

Dude I had razer for like 4 years before I found out once you set the mouse to your wanted configuration.. you can close synapse. and itll still work. lol.

Is there a way to stop my chroma from reverting back to spectrum cycle when I lock/logout/bootup?

The Razer Synapse program has to continue to run. There may be a way to allow the program to continue to run when locked(I’m not sure), but I don’t think it’s possible while logged out or booting up. A lot of gamers want that feature, I would imagine that Razer will start making their keyboards with “onboard memory” for Chroma profiles in the future, but that’s just my speculation.

i dont know if you figured this out yet or not. but to get the audio meter to "move" more easily with your music you need to increase the "boost" bar on the right hand side settings. if you already know this sorry for the comment. thanks for the video

i used to use razer ornata v2 and switched to blackwidow v3. im kind of dissapointed in how the RGB isnt as visible because the ornata v2 had a casing around the keys to hold in the lights and also the ornata v2 keycaps were very flat which kind of looked like a pudding keycaps. i think i have to change my keycaps to pudding keycaps for the blackwidow v3 to bring out more RGB lighting

I still find the audio meter act funky. We really need to fiddle around with the boost to get it to work properly. It also reads the output from what is playing and not the audio device playing it. Its kinda weird to explain
