I really want to know the backstory of why this version wasn't released. It's obvious that this was meant to be the official and i guess there was an issue that didn't allow it to be released so they had to make a 2nd MV, maybe even with older footage or something, because comparing this version to the released one we can see which one suits the song more, the other one doesn't even have the choreo in it.

I been waiting for this dance version mv for literal years

I feel like this wasn't released for a number of reasons. The most obvious being, although all the individual shots are gorgeous, they don't fit well together, there is no uniform aesthetic to the video, Of course she looks amazing in all of them but they really dont mesh.. its like they made all the shots on the moodboard and didn't edit it down. The second reason I can think of is the shots with all the legs sticking out the walls, the hair shots and the red wall of skin, they are all very experimental and as a new album trying to break into the industry (although she herself is not new), she might have needed something safer, especially since idk how body horror type shots would go over in Korea for a "normal" pop idol. The "official" video is very safe, with literal Korean words being written on her body, maybe an omage or an insult to being owned by Korea?(with her past "controversies") Who knows... Basically, they went for the safer option.
