Hi everyone! the video is FINALLY here. thanks for your support these past few days, editing this video drove me crazy due to technical problems and then it got blocked by mr You2b so... yeah, being a reactor is fun work haha. I know that what Bobby did is not right but I still feel bad for him. He lost his band, his three friends died .I don't think he is a bad person, he just made wrong choices. I think he was so traumatized by Alex, Luke and Reggie's death that he tried to pretend that sunset curve never existed and changed name in order to distance himself from the pain. At least I hope so, i don't want him to be a bad person. And I wonder, if Julie's mom is Rose, she knew about sunset curve so why did she never mentionned them to Julie. Maybe because she knew it was a painful subject for Bobby and didn't want Julie to accidentally talk about it when she was hanging out with Carrie and her Dad. I know that it's a little far-fetched but since season 1 didn't answer any of my questions, I need to make some theories in order to keep my sanity.

@UC4qcJi0nIOPCvQA5R43AsKQ i thought that too but then i realized he took "my name is Luke". Luke's mom could have guess it was written by her son. I think Bobby just knew this song was too personal and decided to be a decent enough human being and not take it. And i am now convinced that Bobby cared about the boys and didn't want to disrespect Luke to the point of stealing a song written for his mother. Also, we don't know Bobby's family life. Maybe he was in a similar situation to Luke and could empathize.

OK OK what broke me was the fact that Luke hadn’t been invited into his house for more than 25 years. Julie opening the door for him and his face just broke my heart

If you look at the scene where the boys are eating hotdogs, you can see a missing persons poster for Luke Patterson which was from June. We see Luke run away from home at Christmas so he had been missing for at least 6 months before dying. That explains how Luke says “My couch!!” when they return to the garage. He lived there for half a year.

The song is about a girl .. js not the type of girl everyone thinks it’s abt, it’s someone who he loves deeply (not bashing or hating or anything I js wanted to state that :) & I agree, it’s very much more emotional & heartfelt

2 facts, which will make Unsaid Emily even more heartbreaking. 1. People can see the boys, when they're playing with Julie. But without her, people can hear their music too. So basically... When Luke's parents read the song, they must have heard him in their minds singing this along. 2. When the boys eat the hotdogs, there is a ,,person missing" poster behind them. With Luke's face on it!

It fascinates me that Bobby/Trevor knew and played this song with the band, but clearly didn't exploit this one when he ransacked their back catalogue (Julie knew him personally and was a big fan of 'his' songs but didn't know this one at all). Seems like this one was too personal even for him to touch (which given he recorded a song called 'My Name is Luke' is saying something!).

Such a beautiful episode. It shows the connection and trust between Julie and Luke so well. What she did for him in taking to song to his parents and the things she said was so kind and generous. And Luke just trusted her completely even though he didn’t realise about the song. And she held the door open for him, even though he could have just poofed in, but he is real to her. It’s all just gorgeous.

As I've been telling you Sofia, this was a tsunami of tears. The craziest thing is that every time I hear this song the tears flow harder. Like you, I keep wondering why I keep connecting to this show and the characters and songs and I'm nearly 55. I enjoy rewatching the show to try to figure it out 😁

Yep! Now I can't even think about the song without it getting stuck in my head for days. I would like to hear from the actors playing the parents what it was like to do this scene, having to pretend that he isn't there while he sings this super emotional song. If you look at the poster behind Luke's head when they are sitting on the couch eating the hotdogs, you'll see it's a missing person poster with Luke as the subject. I've heard some people criticize the parents for not getting in touch with him to make up but this poster clearly shows that they didn't know where he was and that they were trying to find him.

you said you wondered how much time had passed since he ran away, it was approximately 7 months cause you can see in the song he ran away around Christmas time and the article Julie pulled up in the first episode said that it was posted Saturday, July 29th, 1995 and said the boys had died the previous Saturday to when the article was posted which means the boys died on July 22nd, 1995 which is approximately 7 months from when he ran away. (Sorry for the detailed comment I just find it really fascinating how much detail they put into the show and I think it's fun figuring this stuff out)!

@@shravanthikasathishkumar432 yess he did and I still can’t believe that I was there 😍,there was a streaming party on zoom to all the fantoms, a girl send the link of the meeting to Charlie but she never thought he would actually see the dm or even actually deciding to join, so when he came in we were all surprised and we thought it was a prank or something and as for him doing this again that up to him, but I do actually see him do more of these in the future, cause thats Charlie after, who knows what’s going on in that head of his lol 🤪

Way back when you did your first stand alone song reaction to Julie and the Phantoms I commented and recommended not listening to this song that way. That it was best enjoyed (the first time at least, lets all admit it we've listened to it plenty by itself since) when you see it in the context of the show... and your reaction in this video was exactly why. It would not have resonated the same way if you didn't know the story and the characters leading up to the moment the song was performed. So glad you got to experience 'Unsaid Emily' in story.

Hi Sofia! I cant wait to watch your reaction to Unsaid Emily. The song Unsaid Emily made me cry soooooooooo much, yet it is one of my favorite songs. Did you know while recording this song, Charlie did soooooo well, he made everyone in the studio have teary eyes. The way he portayed the emotions is unbelieveable. I’m LOVING this Julie and the phantoms series that you’re doing!! So, on the fist video you said that JATP gives you a Disney channel vibes, and it really does since the producer is THE Kenny Ortega, AKA the incredible person who also produced High School Musical, Descendants, Hocus Pocus and other amaaazing movies!! Dont worry. My teddy bear is my most prized possession. I literally had him since I was 2 years old. I'm actually planning to hand him down generations after generation. I love him so much and I literally cant live without him. No shame in it. I just want to say that I love your reactions and i'm obsessed with this show too.
