The past comes flooding back. The past comes flooding back to me, Turning around all the debris. Time is passing by. This goes out to the Raised Fist survivors, And our friends who went to sleep. No matter how I try to conceal, I have a big stone in my chest, A rift in my heart that I can't seal. Time passes by, but this is the type of wound, that will never heal.

It’s really very cleverly written. These are definitely breakdowns, but the first one kinda acts like a bridge concentration the tension (contrary to what all the normal breakdowns do - releasing the tension). The final one is sorta repeated without any arrangement giving this very hostile feel. I know it’s probably stupid to read this comment 3 years always but I totally get what you r saying and I love love love this very well written song.
