Update on Kathy Page: Unresolved. Kathy's family sued Steve in civil court, claiming that he was responsible for her death. Her mother, Dorothy, testified that she had seen Steve vigorously washing clothes on the morning after her murder. The following day, her family witnessed him cleaning the carpet in their home. He claimed that he had spilled grease on it. Sherry also testified that he had abused Kathy. Neighbors also stated that they heard loud arguments and banging on the walls coming from their home. Steve admitted that he did not want Kathy to be autopsied. Witnesses testified that he was left-handed; the autopsy determined that Kathy had most likely been strangled by a left-handed person. In 1999, after two previous mistrials, Steve was found financially liable for Kathy's death in the civil court. He was ordered to pay $200,000 to her family. He was also later convicted of repeatedly desecrating her grave. He is still living in Texas; he has yet to be charged criminally for her death. Tragically, their daughter, Monica, died in 2011 at the age of 28. Their daughter Erin remains alive today. In 2018, this case was profiled on Cold Justice. They interviewed dozens of witnesses in it. They also found a new witness who reported seeing Steve walking away from the ditch where Kathy's car was found on the night of her death. The witness did not come forward sooner because he was with his mistress at the time. Steve was also interviewed; he continued to deny any involvement in this case. Despite the new evidence, the D.A. did not feel that there was enough evidence to prosecute him. However, investigators are continuing to look into new leads and hope to present this case again. unsolvedmysteries.fandom.com/wiki/Kathy_Page

Grieving Husband my @$$! That insufferable jerk absolutely did it! The fact that he had the audacity to blame an Italian man, by stereotyping him as "Mafia" told me that! This is insulting to all of us Italians who are hardworking people and come from honest, hardworking families, who have integrity, strong family values and a strong sense of honor. While on the other hand, Steve Page is vile, vulgar, with no honor, values or decency. I honestly cannot call him a man, because he doesn't have the characteristics of a man, he's merely a male, and a disgusting excuse for a homo sapien. I come from a large Italian family, raised in an Italian neighborhood in Chicago. Not one person I grew up knowing was Mafia, all were hardworking blue collar. Loving, kind and, above all, honorable.

I wonder if Stella ever saw her mother again. It's a very sad story. It sounds like "Sunny" was put in a somewhat precarious situation. Stella was brought to the US probably against Sunny's wishes. She comes to America with her husband to try to work things out and be with her daughter. Did Sunny even speak any English? She must have felt very isolated. Maybe she felt she had no choice but to go back to Korea. Probably figured she could never get her child back there with her.

For those of you questioning/doubting the walk ins (my own theory) - is it possible they’re suffering late onset Dissociative Identity Disorder (aka Multiple Personality Disorder)?
@susannahv72193 жыл бұрын
I think it is highly probable that a kind of mental health issue, likely trauma-based, is at play in at least some of these cases, however it is generally accepted in the psychiatric field that DID does not occur 'late onset'. It's a disorder that occurs when normal childhood development is disturbed by ongoing traumatic events, usually between ages 1-5. It is not uncommon, however, that many adults are not diagnosed until much later in life. But the people highlighted in the walk-in segment are not at all typical of people with DID, which is very disabling, certainly in the periods before longterm treatments can have any affect.

I think she was more into that and decided she didn't want to be tied down to a family. I imagine the hardest part about finding her is that she is Asian, and you can't just say I'm going to go there, and probably hard for a detective too. It was crazy she sent dresses all those years later, and I'm sure part of her misses her daughter, but overall I think she doesn't want to be found. Sad story.

Shame on those other passing motorists on the road who failed to stop when Mr. Vittitow tried to flag down help from them for Wilma. People with that level of traumatic injuries often have just minutes to live and brain death can occur within minutes of suffocation, so they need every form of help from whoever there is. Sometimes the greatest heroes are those who emerge out of nowhere and bring people back from the brink of death.

She should have been torn to pieces. God saw fit to keep her here in this world to do something great, or be a light to people, and show them that no matter what there's always hope!! Idk if she's still alive, but she sure was lucky and God had his hand on her that day!!!

The crash story really makes you want to believe in angels, guardians, watchers...whatever name you want to call them; even if they are humans among us, it makes you wonder about the nature of our lives, are some humans really guardians or "angels" born into this world to be saviours?

It seems pretty clear Kathy's husband killed her, but considering the police officer assigned to inform him of her death likely didn't know that yet, his doorstep bereavement speech needs a little work. "Sir, do you know where your wife is? She's deceased."
