Patel is such a liar. If she wasn't quitting why are they meeting over dinner for her to hand over the files if they are both going to an investor meeting? He's stringing her along with money owed to her and convinces her to get a life insurance policy. And then she dies right after meeting with him? The audacity of this man. It's absurd how he wasn't charged
@jeffcampbell27102 жыл бұрын
No, everyone else is lying. Her daughter made up those stories of him showing up late to her house, while on the phone. It's obvious. Why didn't coos check phone records of the night he showed up? If the calls are fact, then he's lying. Like you said, why meet yo hand over papers if they were meeting in a few days? I think she had papers that implicated him and she wasn't handing them over till he paid her. He kept trying the "Here's a check" trick. He tried to many times. When his con failed, gd shot her. He took her keys so he could go search her house.

If Sam Patel was as innocent as he says he is, he doesn’t need a note from the police asking for a shirt; he can just voluntarily hand it to them for their investigation just to help prove his innocence and show he has nothing to hide.
@RETROGEMS3 жыл бұрын
Great point. I was wondering why he said something so asinine and weird.
@RogueDragon052 жыл бұрын
I doubt the police actually were asking nor wanted the shirt by the point the interview was made nor after their initial request for it. He could have given them any shirt or bought an identical shirt given too them and said it was the one he was wearing that night and unless they can prove other wise they would have to log it in and analyze it as "evidence" evidence that naturally would help prove his innocence since it wasent actually the real shirt which if he is guilty I'm sure is LONG gone and either way worthless for forensic evidence at this point.

Im so mad that they tried to modernize the new episodes with Dennis Farina. It lost all of its character. Even though the music and production is different in this season compared to older seasons, it still retains that spooky, unsettling feel that is the DEFINITION of Unsolved Mysteries. They should have just syndicated the older episodes with Stack.
@jediknightjairinaiki5605 жыл бұрын
Agreed. The fact that the old episodes were dated, both in production value and when the cases took place, when Farina took over made it feel like a half-assed attempt at a reboot. There is another well backed theory that has the attack being orchestrated by a cross border "Bandito" gang that robbed stages all along Southern Arizona and into Mexico. They dressed as Apache to throw off the law. This is backed by a few personal affects of the deceased being recovered in Yuma. Of course, these "Banditos" could have been hired by Kruger as well.

I think it's SUPER likely it was an old-timey set up! How in the world did those two and *only* those two survive a slaughter? It probably happened pretty much exactly how the historian said it did...there was gold they wanted on the coach, they hired random scumbags to make it look like a siege, they buried the gold but could never go back and get it because of the immense attention the crime brought on. So they killed all those innocent people and caused MORE innocent people, the American Indians, to die because of their corruption and greed. A tale dark and tragic.

Whats funny is Patel is not really his lasts name a lot of people from India take the last name patel matter of fact in the city I live in and in the city 20 miles away the ""Patels"" are buying all the gas stations and corner stores
@tranzco11734 жыл бұрын
@@ldg508 What? Patel is a real name. It's like Smith or Jones in India, the most common name. The Patels have owned all the crappy motels and gas stations everywhere I've ever lived since the mid 1980's. My neighbor in PA when I was a kid were the Patels - nice people - and they owned a chain of gas stations. The Simpsons character APU is based on this, and they often offer 0 percent interest loans to each other, and do the arranged marriage thing too, which is why they are everywhere. Moved to New Mexico, and they own stuff here too, local IHOP, stuff like that.
@ldg5084 жыл бұрын
@@tranzco1173 Yes it's a name but not there real birth name it's the name they take when they come to to another country it has to do with the place they come from in India.
