At Bauer, we believe all should feel welcomed to play the game of hockey. The reality though, is that girls in hockey do not get the same access, opportunities, and resources as boys do. Something as simple as having a safe locker room isn’t even a guarantee.
That needs to change.
ALL girls deserve the same level of access to the game. Our mission of making hockey more inclusive led us to create the Girls Hockey Bill of Rights. It’s an outline describing the basic actions required to drive equality across the sport.
You can be part of the change.
We invite you to sign the petition so we can raise our collective voices to force positive change across the game.

As a parent of two girl hockey players....this is a message.

So many of you are missing the point. I've coached boys and girls, house through college, etc, and can say that in too many places, girls and women's programs are still treated like second class citizens. I've been in rinks having issues and are behind, trying to catch up, so they went through their schedule and cut the women and or girl's game(s). Some rinks want more ice for their men's programs and either cut the women's program(s), or give them horrible hours. Some rinks work to get their men's league to grow, but limit the women to a certain number of teams. It's 2023.... The level of play is not what's important, it's encouraging growth and a love of the game by ensuring everyone is treated fairly.

Hopefully, the PHF and the NHL can strike a deal soon, the same way the NBA has done with the WNBA all the way back in the 90s

What do you mean equal ice? I don't see anyone stopping them from playing and enjoying the game!

Exactly...women have been able to play the game for years. Want more ice!? Then pay for it like everyone else

@@Violencegod61 There are far more men's hockey programs than women's, that's just a fact. Obviously girls can still play hockey, but it's pretty fair to say men's hockey is far more supported than women's

@@farhaanj4330 that's probably because more men play hockey then women. Where I live in Canada there is no lack of female programs or ice time. I can see it being different in different countrys though
