How at this stage in the game are the producers/editors unable to follow the last 3 darts of a nine darter? I feel like they’re always blowing it.

The 9 darter leg between Smith and MVG in last year's WC final may rightly go down as the BEST leg of darts ever. But it is legs like the deciding leg of this final that really thrill me. When the best in the world go from playing like they are incapable of missing to suddenly being incapable of hitting a double to save their damn life. Sport at its finest and most dramatic. It just doesn't get any better. Given how Bully Boy, Snakebite and Gezzy are struggling at the moment, I think MVG and Luke are going to finish the year ranked 1 and 2 in the world. Just not sure in which order.

Wow, what a final. This is the final I wanted and let’s be honest, we all wanted this final especially after MVG comments yesterday, it made it even more interesting and appropriate that we get this final. I said last week I want to see Luke play an in form MVG coz that will produce the best darts and after seeing the quarter final lineup today I was looking forward to these two meeting in the final. Bunting almost knocked out MVG but that comeback was astonishing from Michael and it showed MVG has another gear. But if there was any doubt who is the best player in the world, that argument has been put to bed coz Luke Humphries is the best player in the world heading into the World Championships. He should be tagged the favourite and I think he will do it. There’s many things that can happen but the way he just keeps winning even when not playing his best, it shows that he can grind out the wins as well as produce amazing displays like he has been doing recently. MVG was fully up for it and was playing really well and that 9 darter was superb and got me off my seat. I knew we were in for a thriller and I just wanted a close match. When MVG broke to go 7-4 up I feared the worst but what a marvellous comeback from Humphries, who reeled off 6 legs in a row to take the title. When he went into the break 6-9 down I said Luke has to win the next leg coz u can’t have MVG on 10 and being one away coz he will surely win from there but MVG couldn’t hit the trebles with the same consistency as he was before the break and Humphries took full advantage and came back to 10-9 and then it was looking like surely going to a last leg decider which would have been the best scenario possible but MVG couldn’t hit the double to force the final leg and Luke got it done on the Mad House. What a tournament and what a couple of months Cool Hand is having. 3 majors within 2 months. Absolutely amazing. For me he’s the man to beat at the Worlds and on current form I think he’ll take it.

A bit gutted for Mvg, damn that 9 darter was brilliant, but he definitely bottled it big time, but both players were absolutely unstoppable during this tournament, Mvg & Humphries surely are the heavyweight of darts at the moment!!!

I commented a few weeks ago on another channel about the fans ....... I have Never been to a darts tournament but thanks to social media I can still.follow the games ..I love the fans at the tournaments . I see great banter and behaviour .. When a 9 darter goes in , the roof goes off regardless of who the crowd are supporting.. Long may it continue ..no bother ,,,just a cracking time by everyone.

Great final,both obviously had a few nerves in the last leg but great come back by cool hand,on a side note Luke Littler what a talent had seen a wee bit off him in the modus super series and he was unbelievable,it just looks effortless and a natural,great final as well.

I wish they would show the averages more often, or at least tell you the final average at the end of each game. Brilliant final. Pleased Luke won.

I said a long time ago the only thing holding Luke Humphries back was his bottle. His name Cool Hand felt ironic because he had the darts but kept losing close matches. That first major has seemed to demolish that demon (for now) and he’s now matching the darts with keeping his cool in tense moments in matches. Probably the favorite for the World Championships.

Seeing MVG bottle that final is beyond belief. From being unplayable in 2015-2019 to this is nuts. No doubt he is the best player if the generation but i don't believe he will find that form again. To think if he doesn't win WC this year it would be 5 years since he last won it which is crazy considering who he is and we thought a while ago he would rattle of 10 world championships easy
