Good interview. Glad to hear Luke more. Usually Joel does most of the talking. The importance of marriage and family cannot be over estimated. I read Helen Smallbone’s book. Good, impactful read. The power of love and faith. Looking forward to seeing the movie. I have my ticket already.

Awesome that your 11 year old son wants to still hold your hand! Savor every moment!! My son is a 34 year old beautiful human being, son, father and husband and I am so grateful and proud! I would love to be able to walk with him holding his hand!! My granddaughter is still willing to hold my hand! Extension of my son’s love!! Thank you, Lord, for our families!!

I miss my Dad, who passed away with dementia. The month before he passed, I was staying with him in his assisted living apt., because Mom was recovering from pneumonia at a nursing home. The Lord gave me a special moment when I took Dad to his last doctor appointment. He was too agitated in the waiting room so the receptionist took us down the hall to sit in chairs close to his doctor's office. I felt a tap on my arm and looked at Dad, who had a smile and said, Thank you for taking care of me, Karen. Seconds later he was no longer lucid. It was the first time in 8 years that he had called me by name.

My dad also died of dementia. It's a horrible disease. But he's no longer suffering and I know I'll see him again. May God bless you hon.

My dad died, not of dementia but of a heart condition. He went in to get a heart valve replaced. He never came out. My Mom thankfully is still with us. Well her body is. She has dementia. It’s heartbreaking to go see her now. It’s not the same thing I know.
