There’s plenty of valid reasons to hate it honestly. For one they haven’t fixed the multitude of things wrong with the C8z, like diff and fuel system problems, so god only knows what’s wrong with the zr1. And I only know about this because I love corvettes so much, I did my research on these cars.

it looks like at 0:10 you can see the top of an engine forming from the smoke along with two swirls, so seems to hint at a twin turbo engine.

I’m not quite sure what you’re talking about. The McLaren was faster during the lightning lap testing. By one.1 second if my memory serves me right. Don’t give me wrong, I am a huge. C7 ZR1 fan as I actually own a torch ZTK 3ZR 7MT which I’m hoping to never have to sell. On the other hand, the very first McLaren actually is going to be owned by me will this fall and that’s a 750S which I bought only because I was able to do a very special spec.

@@DS22723Well for some reason my posts aren’t showing, but as I recall I said Ford doesn’t build a competitor to Corvette. And they don’t. Do you folks even think before you reply? The GTD is nothing like Vette, they don’t appeal to same buyers and Vette is mass production, GTD is extremely limited product and a race car. Why you would loop GTD and Corvette into the same sentence shows you’re kinda out to lunch.

hah i wish. they did have a v10 LS prototype at one point, not for corvettes but they were messing with one. there was also a v12 corvette concept once, the zr-12, but its in a museum. the only v12 LS you can buy is in Australia. itd be cool to see GM bring back the v10 ls and make their own v12 ls

Nah. Def the flat plane like the Z06. It's just doesn't rumble like the push rod of the stingray. I think it just isn't revving as high as in the Z06.

I don't understand why there are so many complaints about prices. Do you want a quality car, with almost 900 hp, full of technology and carbon fiber but for half the price of an entry-level Lamborghini or McLaren? lmfao. If the ZR1 costs 200k it will still be a good price, considering it will decimate any competitor that costs up to 350k

@@Luke-cb3ly Well, to be fair, I don't have a dog in this fight. 200K for a car, puts you firmly in the 600 - 700K salary and that's not me lol. If that's you, more power to you sir. I mean sure a cut price McLaren sounds great but I feel like the people that by McLaren and Lambo aren't going to cross shop Chevy. Also, add options, and the inevitable dealer mark up and that "value" equation starts to go the other way.

I only seen one Z06 and I guess I scared the guy off because I tried my best to get close to the car but the guy was hauling ass it seemed. I tried to hear how it sound but oh well. I see way too many c8 stingrsys in my area. I seen a guy in a yellow 992 turbo S and a white Ferrari 488 gtb a few times in my 8 months of doordashing.

Apparently no… it will still be a DOHC V8 but with turbos. I think they did that on purpose to keep the Z06 attractive for people that would like a flat plane crank high revving V8

Idiot I wasn’t crying…it’s called showing love for great muscle cars that the average kid can buy!!! You can clearly see and even hear twin turbos in this video. What you can’t hear is a high revving Flat Plane Crank V8. This sounds like the 6.2 liter with twin turbos and help from the Eray electric motor upfront.
