Pink Floyd always reminds me of my uncle Pete. He was always drunk and listening to a Pink Floyd. Us kids would be in the back room playing and doing our own thing. Korn also did a cover of this song! 😃

What a great reaction man. So much to be said about all of that. And I love how at the end I get all animated with recordings of people just being assholes towards kids. They give them completely contradictory instructions while they shout at them. Wow. This is a cycle that needs to be broken.

The wall referenced is his personal wall. Thus album is a master class on the things that contribute to individuals building a metaphorical wall to insulate themselves from the daily shittings of society. Being an intelligent man, you should listen to the album front to back. You'd get it. Maybe not all of his particular circumstances, but definitely you would identify the obvious candidates (asshole teachers, overbearing or missing parents) that traumatized the protagonist in the story.

While you are not wrong, by simply repeating what one interpretation of the song is about, I think the cool thing is, it's art - and, ultimately, art can be interpreted in more than one way. All of those bricks in the wall contribute to one's alienation from society, but one integrates their shadow side, one can realize those same bricks, once the wall is torn down, can be used to create a solid foundation for one's ultimate growth.

My brother you need to do Pink Floyd music in its entirety because when you skip around you miss the nuances of the story. Most groups will release an album with 12 random songs. Pink Floyd releases albums that tell a specific story and when you get into it especially with this one you have missed several pages of the story. One does not listen to Pink Floyd one experiences Pink Floyd. Do yourself a favor and do an entire album either as one reaction or do it consecutively so it’ll make more sense.
