We call that plant water lettuce (even thou it looks like a cabbage). Pistia stratoides is the latin name. Sadly it's illegal in Florida. Dexter, you inspire me to start breding fish again, keep it up. Already just started my aquarium again, after 3 years of no fish! I want Guppys!!!

Enid- I live in FL too, I have a pretty good Guppy colony, very healthy, I use Guppy Grass or Moss for the babies to hide. If you want some quality guppies let me know.

That is fantastic. I am getting back into guppies after building koi ponds for years... Unfortunately the winter months in Nashville Tennessee would make it hard to raise them outdoors. I've watched other channels who say that you need at least 8 aquariums and a large amount of space to breed guppies. Here I see that it isn't true and your guppies look more beautiful than theirs in my opinion.

Yo yo, which channel thought you that.. do you know if u throw this guppies in a vase with the duck weeds and provides food.. check it back a month of two, u will have a lot of fry. Hahaha I did that before.

Thats not true brother,,,its also depends on how many types/kinds/strains of guppy do u have,,,and also if you are trying to outcross or to make your own strain thats the time you need several tanks! you just need to use plastic tank or tank that can make your guppy not getting dsturb during their breeding period!

You should also add how many time water change in week or day ..bcz water parameter is important for guppies ...In natural habitat they don't need lots of water change and ph dh but if someone thinking to keep in there home so they require proper water parameter for them....Bcz some people have still problem is when they change water of babies tank so after that they start to dying .. but your friend have really beautiful guppies ...

I haven't change the water 4 years ,i have filter that can handle a aquarium way bigger then my 140litres , to begin with I had 8 guppy now over 300 use a lot of natural plants so the baby can hide
