If to be serious, I would love to see Final Fever as it was intended to be: a boss fight where you would have to travel through time to damage it.

For those wondering: - Final Fever was supposed to be the "True" final boss after you had collected all of the Time Stones in the 2011 remastered version of Sonic CD. It was supposed to have warped you from the Egg Spinner "final" boss into a distorted time warp where Robotnik/Eggman reveals the R9 "Final Fever" Robo and it was to be virtually invincible with no way for Sonic to defeat it. The only way Sonic was able to defeat it was to go to warp speed to "wind back the clock" and destroy parts of it when it was at it's most vulnerable when it was being built. This was supposed to have been put in the "R2" spot and some cut elements were used in Sonic Mania for Titanic Monarch Zone and Egg Reverie Zone.

Unknown to Sonic,Amy was the final boss

In an alternate universe... Sonic CD had a good final boss.

Robotnik expected Sonic to kick his ass once again, so he brainwashes Amy and sends her to kill Sonic as a backup plan.

What? It's a short battle? It's Sonic CD, what did you expect?

This would've made the ending much better. The final battle in the actual game is kinda lame in my opinion

Got to admit, I do like that you took enough care to make it seem like Sonic had actual game physics and the boss having actual patterns.

So, this actually looks great! It all looks like it could be played on a Sega CD, except that the screen looks like it is pulled back a bit too far. Great work.

I don't know why but the actual final boss of the game just feels underwhelming like in the past the sonic 2 boss was much more dramatic and the ending to sonic 3 and knuckles in the doomsday zone.

Sonic: *gets squashed by Amy’s hug and loses one ring* Ring: *lands on Amy’s finger* Sonic oh no!🤭 Amy:🤗

This is better than the final product, music is more fitting.

This actually looks pretty tough for a final boss, *just how I like it!* Would make perfect sense if Dr. Robotnik just sorta squashed Sonic in the ceiling with his hand. Why hasn’t any other final boss thought of this?

The concept for the R9 Boss is that once you got all Time Stones, you can defeat this boss in "Final Fever Zone". This boss is immortal and you have to go to the past and destroy each part of it.

I always wondered why there was no final boss for CD. I also love how Amy hugs Sonic and the death sound plays. 😝

This Boss reminded me of Donkey Kong '94.

Good, but I have one issue. It's mega man's Gamma mixed with Eggman's Kyodai Robot. There's no time travel, like there was in the beta. It's just jump on R-9's fist, hit his face, repeat. It is sonic cd, but Christian Whitehead had a great boss idea.

Pretty good moveset ideas but there was a lot revealed about what was planned for the fight such as having to time travel to the past to when it's vulnerable

Not bad, but it would've been better if it were longer and took place in the Good Future. Also, the music during the first eight seconds should've been "Work That Sucker to Death".

The r9 boss was supposed to be invincible in the present state so you would have to go back in time to destroy the parts being built in order to defeat the boss, if you had all the time stones

I wonder how this would have actually played. All of the Sonic CD bosses change in some way as you damage them, so I wonder what would happen to this giant thing.
