Very nice. You realize that you are kind of an art supply pusher, right? Sometimes I feel like that kid on the street where the van pulls up and the guy says “want some candy, little girl?” Or the dealer says “Hey, just try it once”. Ha ha, now you’re hooked. I have a bunch of Kurotake Gensei watercolors now and it’s really all your fault! Thank goodness for people who can try out new things and let us know what’s great. If it isn’t, since it’s your business, you can write that dud off on your taxes and warn us! Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and just want you to know how grateful I am to have stumbled across your channel.

I always enjoy watching you share new supplies and books. I bought that Uppercase Magazine book "Art Supplies" after you recommended it, and when I got it I read it from cover to cover, front to back. So many inspiring artists, and companies creating supplies - lots of inspiring things to read about. Rag and Pulp looks really interesting too! And I love that the company is a small company - as you say, run by one woman. I also bought a pack of the Uppercase Magazines too, and I just love reading through those, each issue specializing in a different theme. Wow, Denise. This was an amazing video for me. We must be on the same universal wave length or something this week. I, too, follow Allison Dawrant, and just today, I gave two of her oracle decks as gifts. Then, also today, I received my Kuretake gold pen in the mail. And last night I was really studying Masha’s Watercolors on Etsy trying to decide if I wanted to take the plunge and purchase some. Your video today IS A SIGN! (Insert angelic choirs singing here 🎵) Haha. It’s so wonderful when artists share other artists’ work. (Also, those large white dots were am excellent addition to your piece!) While waiting for new videos I’m continuing to rewatch the old from the beginning and have reached this fabulous haul and beautiful creative piece again 😍. It’s inspiring rewatching and enjoying your recent posts in between. Especially love the art hauls and agree with other viewers here, that you are a enabler 😂, my art supply addiction is growing 🤪. After falling in love with the Caran d’ache neocolour2 water soluble wax pastel/crayon, I spy you maybe missing an art supply…..the neopastels are different to the neocolour1 and 2s. The neopastels are their oil based pastel while the neocolours are wax based. NC1 are a non soluble wax pastel/crayon to the much loved NC 2 water soluble wax version. I’ve yet to try the NC1 and think they are limited to only 40 colours. I only mention it as I haven’t seen you use the NC1 non sol wax crayons but refer to the neopastels as the NC1, so was not sure if you are aware of a possible missed supply? Be great to see them in action if they become an addition to your magical art supplies 🙏🏻😊🙏🏻😊

I get as excited as you do when I watch you unbox an art haul. The big bubble in the upper left corner of your art piece is so pretty and you were right to add the big white dots among the little ones. Super fab video, Denise !!! Janine Vangool in Calgary, Canada, is the Founder of ‘Uppercase’, the quarterly magazine and the encyclopaedia books that I think are just once a year as they take many months and sometimes even years (!) to create. I first heard about her in March of this year as she was one of the artists taking part in ‘Sketchbook Revival’ 2023. As you can see, her productions are works of art in themselves. She has won awards for these books and publications. Truly unique as you can see. Some previous editions of the quarterly magazines ‘Uppercase’, and the encyclopaedias are available to purchase …..and I bought that one you showed us here (Art Supplies) for a friend’s birthday this summer here in the U.K…….it was £40….which equates to nearly $50…..but as you can see they are truly unique and fabulous. Thank you once again, Denise for ALL of your FABULOUS and super inspiring, delightfully happy videos that you have produced this year for us all. 💕💕🤩🤩🎉🎉🥳🥳💕💕

You always get the yummiest things! I've been resisting the urge to get Allison's oracle cards, and you have made that so much more difficult to do! Wait, maybe I can after the 1st of the year. I've made the commitment to make 2024 a no-buy year except for the things that are critical to my art such as white gouache and watercolor paper. Well, since I also get Emma Levabre's (or whatever her name is) monthly watercolor box and am also signed up for Sarah Burn's gouache box (both are through Craftamo), I probably won't run out of white gouache or watercolor paper. But, an oracle deck and books are not art supplies are they? I've also been eyeballing that Flower Color Theory book as well. Wish me luck! lol

Yes. One was a garnet with seed pearls. The other one was Alexandrite and it shifts colors from blue to purple depending on the light. Some of my favorites of hers. Thank you! 🥰 Merry Christmas!! 🎄

Hi Denise, I really enjoyed this, I know that you’re not a’s watching channel, but would it be possible to go through? Mashas Watercolor said that you got I’m in Australia and have really wanted to get hers for a long time but they started over $100 and a set you have is well over 300 nearly $400 so I’d love to see what they’re like before it investing. I know they good quality, but I just want to see some of the colours

How do you decide whether to use the Mungyo or Caran dAche oil pastels?

I love them both.. so color choice is a good determining factor. I got the mungyo ones after I already had the caran dache ones.... and if I had a choice of only the one set - then I'd go with the mungyo ones. I like the slightly thicker texture and the bigger variety of colors for the price difference.
