Those bears really where camping on your campfire! I came here from your comment on Enns13's video. And I'm curious on what kind of quail you have? I used to keep some coturnix quail. I know I'm a couple videos behind , but the hot sludge ponds are hot springs, they will damage you if you swim in them. But they make for good kill pits for temporal storms, look up "the boiler room" by Solstin as a good example. You'd probably need a pickaxe at the very least though to make it.

I do keep Coturnix quail! I breed Jumbos and Standards in a few colors. I did hear about the hot water, and that you cannot move it anymore, which rather defeats the new drifter trap. There might be ways to use one of the larger springs to make one of mine, but you'd take damage from the water while looting some of them. Worth some experiments! Can't wait to see what the Hot Springs are actually used for. They look really creepy on the map.

@@PyrrhP What colors? I had some silver quail. I made a huge cabinet incubator with individual floors outta foam paneling just when I had to stop keeping quail due to moving. The guy actually made his trap a couple weeks before the change with the bucket, and made a redesign that uses a 3x3 section of hot spring that actually sucks down drifters/animals into a side channel for harvesting. Though with that huge lake, you could make a huge house in the center (or compound) and have a moat on the outside that sucks bears and drifters down. But that'd be a huge project for a series with limited resources. But it would be great long term for the long dark of the north.

Some great ideas to think about! I currently keep Pharaoh/Wild, Egyptian, Falb Fee, Pearl Fee, and I have a small Autumn Amber that is almost a pet. :D

I think if you click orange first and then pickaxe, it should fill in the word Copper automatically for waypoint.

I'll be sure to try that, but I'm pretty sure that's what I've been pressing and I've had to fill stuff in.

No lack of tree this time and lots of copper, that is good news. Also, the penultimate vessel you broke contained 11 pieces of tin, not coal; so straight into the bronze age!
