I bought one about six months ago and can say I’ve been very happy with it for the price. The body on mine was paulownia. -extremely lightweight.

I recently got a GearIT guitar similar to this. Sea Foam green. Mine is a semi hollow body. Not my usual kind of guitar at all, but I did it anyway. I like it. The bridge isn't great, but the guitar plays fine and I'm glad I got it. It was under $100 delivered, so not a big investment. Worth every penny. Thanks for your review. I didn't know Lyxpro had a Tele. Now I have to not order one. Yes, that's it. Not order one.

I can sort of play “Wipeout”. On a REALLY good day, I can even play “Louie Louie”.

I bought the natural lefty version, qvc $30 off code, for $80, the 1st one was bad big gap in the neck pocket, tuners installed crooked, replacement was solid, now I'm in the middle of upgrading it, fleor pickups, guyker tuners, compensated saddles, graph tech nut, etc.

LyxPro Strats are good quality Cheap offshore guitars. I got 2 and will keep the brand new one and install good ceramic pickups. If you know how to do basic guitar repairs, LyxPro are good enough...

What kind of wood is that fretboard? Doesnt look like rosewood… website says maple lol, that is incorrect

How do you think this compares to a Squier Bullet Telecaster?

I'm sure the Squire is better overall. The Lyx is Ok, but once you put new tuners and a better bridge on it you're around the same price as the Squire.

My real Fender American Telecaster feels like a slab of lead with a neck on it.

@@gtoneguitars the ones i mentioned sound super! my green sawtooth tele actually has a "hybrid" bridge pup in it...3 alnico5 slugs and 3 alnico2 slugs in it... plenty of twang and can surf like a champ!

$80? That might be a worthwhile investment in a "Telecaster" style guitar (the name is trademarked of course by Fender... LyxPro is most likely soon to get a letter from some high priced lawyers... Amazon could also get a cease & desist listing notice from Fender...) - if I were to buy this guitar, I would yank ALL pups, jack, pots, caps, bridge and nut off it... so looking at around $150 in "Good" quality (Wilkinson, etc) replacements... then a fret dressing job, install, and set up... if you can do it yourself, great... to get it done low end by a good luthier... probably around $150-250 range (depending on your tech and how long you can leave it with him...) So all in... Say minimum $400-500 range... much better to buy $350 range guitar that already has all the right hardware... this is a decent beginner guitar (add a $75 set up fee...) but a serious player would most likely pass on it... unless you just had $$ to spend and wanted to hot rod a cheap guitar for some reason!

I bought this one from the LyxPro website and the word "Telecaster" is nowhere to be found. I was surprised to see "Telecaster" on the box and manual. Fender will not approve!

out of the box....JUNK

'Junk' means you have no skills to replace cheaper components at all .... If you can replace tuning machines and pickups .... they are 'OK' .
