Fisker has announced a starting price of a compelling $45,400 for the base model. Anticipated trim levels likely mirror the Ocean SUV, offering mid-range Ultra and Extreme trims with extended range and additional features. At the top of the range will be a premium limited-edition One trim, featuring all the bells and whistles.
The Alaska is the second all-new product in Fisker's ambitious four-car portfolio. Alongside the Ocean SUV and Alaska pickup, the company also plans to launch the budget-minded Pear SUV and the flagship Rōnin sports car. This ambitious roadmap reflects Fisker's commitment to solidifying its position as a key player in the evolving electric vehicle landscape.
*Size and Design:*
The Alaska, expected to be comparable in size to the Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz, offers a sleek and modern aesthetic. A key design feature is the innovative drop-down mid-gate between the bed and cabin, allowing for extended cargo capacity when needed.
*Electric Power and Range:*
The Alaska will be powered by an all-electric drivetrain, boasting a minimum range of 230 miles on a single charge, and potentially reaching up to 340 miles for higher-end variants.
*Interior Design:*
The Alaska's two-row cabin borrows heavily from the Ocean's design, offering a sleek and modern aesthetic. However, subtle changes reveal its focus on practicality and ruggedness. The dashboard features a rugged fabric trim, while the roof boasts webbed netting for secure storage of smaller items. The Alaska's defining feature is the ingenious drop-down mid-gate, transforming the cabin into an extended cargo space perfect for hauling long items.
*Infotainment System:*
The Alaska's infotainment system centers around a massive 17.1-inch touchscreen, offering both landscape and portrait orientations for optimal visibility in different driving conditions. However, the Alaska maintains the Ocean's decision to forego Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.
