Beautiful I am going to have my three boys who serve at the altar watch this video. They are reverent and take their duty as servers seriously but it is such a beautiful explanation of serving. Lisa Leopold

This is POWERFUL. I work as a parish secretary and have shared this video with our pastor and our religious education teacher at our school. I would LOVE to see a similar video that speaks to the ministry of EMHC’s (Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion!). God bless you!

Totally agree with you Fr. But I don't agree with is having girls as alter servers. It should be boys. In my parish some times it's all girls. And they are allowed to wear sneakers or open shoes , not good.

Father, you spoke lovingly and with incredible enthusiasm about being analter boy growing up, and your experiences durung those moments. I always like to see only boys serving at the alter during Holy Mass with the priest and not girls, although I felt sorry for the girl's hair getting caught on fire. Qe shoyld revert back to the days when only boys were allowed to serve at the alter with the priest.🙏

Thank you Father. I am 52 year old, married with a beautiful daughter. I was altar boy when I was a kid. I fell away from the Church for several years and finally I came back in full conversion. I've been contemplating to go back and be altar man again, I guess I can't say "altar boy" anymore. Is this a possibility in my situation? or are married people at older age excluded?

Girls shouldn't serve at the altar and I was hoping for some history of the server at the Roman Rite not the novus ordo.

Girls should be able to have the same opportunity to serve on the altar as boys. It impacts their lives just as much as boys. All 6 of my kids were altar servers and three are girls. I’ve been blessed that they all are deep in their faith in their late 20’s and early 30’s. A part of that is their altar serving.

That is not how God formed his liturgy and isn't where girls belong. It isn't where laity belong except for Altar boys. The offering of the Mass is entirely masculine. It was so in the Jewish Tradition in the time of Jesus, Joseph, and Mary and remains so today. This is NOT supremacy, it is the order of things. Period. You and your children are formed in a Faith suffering from rupture as Jorge as emphasized repeatedly. Try going to a real sacrifice; the Roman Rite. @@diannaorjimdavies899
