A mystery could be defined as something partly hidden because of its great depth. Because of its greatness, it is not easily unveiled, but it does deserve to be pursued. The Catholic Online School, geared towards education for Catholic children as well as adults, frequently enjoys utilizing the "personal" name for God designated by the Catholic Church as 'Yahweh". Deacon Keith includes the name "Yahweh" in their daily mass readings. There has been a barrage of discussions as to why the Jews, who originally also enjoyed the regular praise of his "personal" name in everyday conversation, ceased uttering his name out loud. The reasonings list goes on and on, but some say there was no clear reason except that the Jews became fearful and superstitious of divine punishment if they uttered His name. This was only applicable however, to certain Jews, who were apparently in disfavor with God, because Jesus and his Apostles enjoyed espousing His "Personal" Name that appears more than 250times in the New Testament, when Translators do not exclude or substitute it.

How Catholic can this be, when something as simple and essential as the SIGN OF THE CROSS is skipped in the beginning?

This is an old Protestant idea right?

The original Hebrew text uses YHWH as God's name in Exodus 3:15, among many other places in the OT, but Christian faith's have removed and perverted the text by removing it and replacing it with titles. YHWH told us to use his name, to sanctify it, to give it meaning and Jesus himself preached the same thing. He also called the Father ABBA. Why is it that the RCC refuses to use YHWH in ceremonies, in singing, and in worship? The info is out there on that official notification sent out from the church. They have admitted they kept the name from it's flock for centuries, yet even after admitting this, they still refuse to allow it to be used. Why is that? Who said it was too holy to be used? If God himself told us to use it, I think listening to him far outweighs what sinning man tells you do to. These are the types of things that people are waking up to as time goes by.
