I just realized that in academic writing, the author's voice needs to be supported by direct and indirect voices. That's very helpful! (Antesa Cellindho F, UINNES)

Hi, I am Ludwig from Semarang State University. Thankyou for the awesome explanation of voice in academic writing. There are 3 voices, first our own voice as a writer, second the direct voice of a source, and the last indirect voice of a source.

Hi, I’m Gayatri from UNNES. I'm in the process of writing a research proposal right now and this video give me a new knowledge, I just found out that in writing an academic paper, the author also has his/her own voice and that is very important so that readers know the author's perspective personally. Thank you!

Thank you for the insightful knowledge. It is clear to me that in academic writing, the writer's voice has the biggest portion. However, it also needs to be supported by the direct and indirect voice of a source and compose them altogether to advance ideas in the writings. (Adila Afiatina, UNNES)

Thank you for your valuable insight. It seems evident to me that the writer's voice is the most important aspect of academic writing. However, it must be supported by the direct and indirect voice of a source and composed as a whole in order to promote ideas in works. (Ria Aldila Putri, Unnes)

the author's voice that begins with "'Before this time"'(Text on Brutalism) means words not paraphrased or paraphrased with no need to acknowledge the source? I mean surely the author is providing information without a source. please help
